I hope you have contacted HBC and blamed them for instructing you to leave it open. Did they send you a letter asking you to leave the gate open. If so I would visit a solicitor and see what they say. Everyone in your area probably got told to leave the gates open so everyone knows which night/day all the gates are open. Well done HBC.

Thanks slinky. They are probably fairly big gits as the theft took place some time last night when smaller gits were probably in bed. Busman is currently in his element drilling holes, fitting new locks and wiring up "preventative measures" out there at the moment between coach runs.
Heaven help them if they try to come back for anything else! :D

Yep there's a lot to be said for Sharia Law Margaret. Not long ago some friends of ours had their camper van stolen and they even know who took it but can't prove it so nothing can be done.

The HBC are such a waste of time aren't they...

No, I have nothing in writing from HBC. It was all word of mouth so not much I can do there, unless they complain next time when I put the bin in the back.and then I'll see if they'll put that in writing. Other people further down put their bin in the back but just where I am on the bend it gets in the way apparently, so I'll compromise and put it slightly further down and see how they like it.

Will he be able to log on to AccyWeb from prison? That is what will happen to him if he kills anyone (possible if he just gives someone a shock). It only takes one shock to kill a person. As little as 100ma can kill you - a 60w lamp for example draws 250ma.

And yet you can also stand Lots of amps without any lasting damage(see lightning strikes). The number of shocks I've had in my life shoud have seen me off many times over(playing with leccy when younger was fun at teh time)

Don't worry Neil. The shocks will not be of an electrical nature. :D and although I'm beginning to feel a kinship with Tony Martin I wouldn't actually consider shooting them as much as I might feel they deserve it.

Does that mean that if they/he/she/it had electrocuted themselves when they tried to pull the security lamp off then it would have been our fault?

Sorry to hear about your loss Willow. I'm afraid if I was instructed by HBC to leave my back gate open I would ignore them, as anybody living in terraced property should do after learning of your predicament. Again, deepest regrets. T.C.

Thievin sods  I will keep my eyes open to Willow. Sad fact is that I seem to be keeping my eye open for more and more stolen bikes and motorbikes round here at the moment, it's probably the same people nicking them all too!
