Is it any wonder that there are accidents?

On our way home from Blackpool this afternoon via the M6 we had a bit of a surprise. In the lane next to us there was a chappie driving a HGV at approximately 60mph in quite heavy traffic with one leg dangling out of the window of his cab.

Ok, so it was a bit warm, but what would have happened if he had to stop suddenly?

It was only last night that we got stuck in a five mile tailback of traffic caused by an accident at more or less the same spot.

Are you sure it was his leg?

Quite sure. It had a foot on the end of it, I have two just like it.

It might have been a prosthetic leg, he might have just spilt a drink on it and been drying it out of the window ;) (she says with tongue firmly in cheek)

What with mobile phones, people picking their noses, general disregard for the highway code and now legs dangling out of windows. I hardly dare to get into the car...:D

Are we sure it was his leg? Could it perhaps have been someone else's leg? That could imply an even more dangerous situation.

Or maybe his nickname is Clever Dick...

Did he have a "how's my driving?" sign on the vehicle; I would have rung the number there and then and maybe even photographed the offending appendage!

Re: Is it any wonder that there are accidents?

Who was the appendage offending?

So, you would have lost concentration about your own driving whilst you fiddled around with your phone/camera to ensure that the offending idiot didn't get away with it?

In the mean time who would have to do something similar, just to catch a picture of you being as guilty as the first driver?

If he's not speeding, nothing

I see some horrendeous sights on the motorways. Ladies doing their makeup, Blokes having a shave, reading newspapers, etc. Best one ever was a traffic cop in a range rover TEXTING!
