Well this has made my day.

The radio news said that a crowd had gathered to celebrate in front of the Hotel De Ville in Paris. When they heard the news they broke up in silence and drifted away... and then it began to rain!

Oh HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA ! Funniest damn thing I have heard in ages.

Well Done to the Bid Team, Yah boo, sucks and two fingers to the French. I would love to be a fly on the wall at Gleneagles this evening.

The crowd in Paris looked like they were going to cry when it was announced that London had won the bid.
I think it is great news......and although the Games are in London I am sure tourism everywhere in the UK will benefit to some degree.

I have to admit, I didn't think we would get it...so 'Well done' to the bid team....and a big fat raspberry to the frenchies.

I will have been retired for three years when the London Olympics take place. What a sobering thought that is.

A great effort and agreat achievment if we make half as good a job of hosting the olympics as we did the commonwealth in Manchester then the world will have to stand up and eat humble pie not just the froggies. Well done to all concerned.

Those Fish and Chips look delicious.......don't like the look of the 'umble Pie.
Wonder if there is any chance that Hollands will start making Humble pies and exporting them to France. Be a good marketing ploy.
