My niece in Oz tried to convert me to thongs....bloody horrible things.........very uncomfortable...felt like my bum crack was being flossed....and they CANNOT be hygienic.

No definitely not for me...even if they were giving them away.

:) As stated before I have nothing against people wearing whatever they want to, it's their own choice.

Without being sizeist either, because I would have my wooly liberal/Labour voting Red Rindy badge taken off me, but what l find most disturbing is the 'Dunlop belt'. That proudly displayed spare tyre shaped roll of fat, between the low slung jeans and the cropped top, which allows us more than a glimpse of said thong.

When did that fashion start as l seemed to have missed it?

I'm not a stick insect, but find with the aid of the right clothing and clever lighting only a very few people get to see my love handles, never mind my underwear.;)

People should be able to wear what clothes and underwear they want regardless of size or figure and if it offends you to look at them then avert your eyes elsewhere.

I quite agree if you read what I wrote, it's just that l worry about them going vestless and the accompanying problems to their backs in later life.

I have no problem with people wearing whatever they want. However......... I have to agree that the Dunlop Belt is not a good look. Have the people who dress like this not got any friends???? If one of my mates has rolls of fat hanging over jeans that are too tight or looks a mess, then I will tell her.

Before anyone jumps in and accuses me of having no friends, I will state for the record, that I have plenty of friends who do value me for my honesty... Now I must go and adjust my thong, I have just yawned and nearly choked on the washing instruction label....:D

When they were picking me up for a jaunt to the theatre, as I was getting into the car, my top exposed some unsightly flesh. I have 2 shopping addictions one is socks ....... I love cute socks :o and the other is under wear, I have more pairs of thongs, G-strings, tangas, hipsters than I dare to count and I don't think there's a colour I haven't got. I always find thongs comfortable to wear and only ever wear BIG pants in emergencies ..... so the reason for slumps in sales is probably that I can't get in to Town to shop yet :D
