I would say do it, but be prepared. Take about three or four times more cash with you than you think you will need, because it will disappear with frightening rapidity.

like most people i would say do it mani- regret is a terrible thing ! but like a-b says take more than you think is needed, like a few on hear i lived there for a while in late 60s its a very unfriendly place and its good you have contacts down there.

yeah i'm gonna go in a few months time - thankfully i'm almost sorted with contacts for some immediate work too

i was kinda put off by the fact that all the doormen there have stab/bullet proof vests on... gotta invest in one of them too...

but with those guys gettin 15-20 an hr...

£15-£20 per hour?

I wouldn't do a job that required a bullet-proof vest for such a measly amount.

btw - if you want to learn London, get a sat nav!

*L* i dont think the sat nav will help me with the knowledge test in an exam room!

and i guess thats where people who are willin to take that risk come into it. sure i'd love to b paid more but its a start -= just support myself and see where i can go once i'm there

Visiting is a heck of a difference to living there, I wouldn't move there for a gold clock.

You can be an 'if only' man or a 'nearly' man if you do not try it,at the end of the day you can walk it back in a week, best of luck either way Ianto.W.
