Christmas Party?
Hi does Accy web have a christmas party for children?
|
Re: Christmas Party?
That would be a good idea.
Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to pick a time and place (like Playtime or Little Treasures) and then all just turn up - a bit like the montly meetings. That way it wouldn't be so formal but all of us with kids could get together. |
Re: Christmas Party?
Falls over laughing hysterically and wonders how long before someone suggests we can't have anybody organising a thing like that or it might look like we've got a committee! :rofl38:
But if I dare say it I think it sounds like a great idea. I don't have little kids so I wouldn't be involved. |
Re: Christmas Party?
hey gayle that sounds good.............but wouldn't it be nice to organise a santa visit and a little gift bought from donations from the parents?
anyone any ideas.........maybe we could all put our heads together and make A SHED, no really come up with something!! |
Re: Christmas Party?
That starts to sound a bit complicated. Let's form a committee! Sorry, couldn't resist that, just joking.
I think it would be a nice idea Romps! |

Re: Christmas Party?
Many moons ago another bunch of people of whom I am one used to do a thing where the parents actually bought the pressie (an agreed price limit between us) and wrapped it, put the child's name on and put them all in a sack ready for Father Christmas to give out. The sack would be hidden until FC arrived so the children just assumed he brought it with him. That also solved the problem of what to get for the children and where the money would come from to pay for it.

Re: Christmas Party?
I think that sounds a great idea.
It's the sort of thing that happens now with the 'mini meets' and the football outings. It doesn't need a comittee, or to be done under the banner of Accy Web, just a meeting of like minded people using the forum for a worthwhile cause.:) |
Re: Christmas Party?
I'm surprised that somebody hasn't already commented on unofficial mini meets and claimed that things are going on behind people's backs. :D
If you're just having a kiddies Christmas party between friends then it isn't an AccyWeb kids Christmas party is it?:Banane45:It's a private affair. But if a bunch of people get together and organise a thing and want to call it an AccyWeb kids Christmas party and invite all AccyWebbers with young children to go along to it then is that really any diffrent than having a "Susan"? I must be really thick here because I honestly can't see the distinction. Help me Dr. Helga!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Christmas Party?
No as you say it's no different. I was just uneasy when it was suggested I thought, that we become a politicised lobbying body under the banner of Accy Web.

Re: Christmas Party?
I dont see why you cant have a childrens Accyweb party Romps.
I f you base it on the Accyweb meets Idea. Through pms and posts. Diside on a time and a date. The venue could be somewere like the bubble factory. You have had the idea. Now all it takes is for someone to get it organized. Good Luck. |
Re: Christmas Party?
Well cant see a huge problem depending on interest renting a working mens club room or something of the like maybe even accy stanley themselves:), charge an admission ticket fee to cover the costs of the room & some donations of pressies - thats how most groups organise it & yes without need of a committee!! LOL
All u need is a santa LOL:) |
