Are Accy Magistrates Incompetent ?
 

Just reading through the court cases and noticed one offenders name that to my knowledge has committed this same crime about 4 times now.
Where is the justice for all those legal motorist out there who slog their guts out to pay for road tax and insurance etc.
This guy has just been fined £100 , yes i repeat myself ..£100 for having no licence, no tax and no insurance.
WELL WORTH IT IN MY OPINION ...FOR THAT FINE ! You cant get car insurance for that !!!!

Now surely if this guy is repeat offending, instead of slapping his wrist why cant they either give out the maximum that magistates can give and send him down for 6 months or give him the highest fine that they can possibly gave ... or simply sentance him to Crown Court.

You want to bet your bottom dollar that this guy is back behind the wheel again in the next few weeks ?

Its the poor person he runs into the back of who would be cursing as he has no insurance. Their premium rises because he cannot be bothered to be on the road legaly.

It's not just Accy magistrates,it's nationwide.


We had a similar thread a few months ago.


When the penalty for breaking the law is less than having insurance,then the law is an ass.

Yeh its a problem all over & that you can get grades of inconsistancy of punishments, and usually the justice never seems appropiate for the crime & definately to soft approach so that they re-offend anyway:(

in some places in america if you commit the same offence 3 times you goto jail for life

The 3 strikes & you're out rule, if thats the case i bet most of them make the 3rd worth while though:D

They should have a lifetime ban and a big fine.That would make me happy.Saves on paying the taxes to keep the idiot locked up although ideally that would be great but why should we have to keep paying for idiots like this.

Now that we don't have any industry to speak of, and even it's replacement of call centres are moving to countries like India with a cheaper work force, that's a very good idea.

We could have lots of prisons full of persistant offenders, which would also provide lots of jobs.

It gets me so angry. I cant afford to run a car anylonger. Ive been driving for 12 years but my insurance quotes are arond the £500 mark because of idiots like this.

Just been told he has swapped his 4 wheels now for a motorbike so that the police cannot recognise him under the helmet !

Does he have to run somebody over before the authorities will take note !

\I will answer it.... Publicise his bike details on the web and someone will inform the police that the idiot is still on the road.

Aren't all magistrates incompetent? Virtually untrained amateurs doing, what should be, a job for very competent professionals.

Pity Accy Web dosnt have a local magistrate as a member to be able to come on here and explain how the courts come to some of its desicions :D
