Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
For all you Sudoku addicts out there...... Home and Bargain (Broadway Shop) have some little hand held Sudoku machines......and a snip at £4:99........be warned if you buy one, get batteries too.
If you are a Sudoku addict.....or know one in your family, it would make a smashing stocking filler. I million games......5 levels of difficulty and it also works as a clock and an alarm. Happy spending! |
Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
i dont know any people who play it but at that price a few peopel on my list are going to learn or just get lumbered with a funny looking alarm clock
thanx for the heads up |
Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
One good thing about this game being available is that the newspapers at work will not have pages ripped out by the addicts. ;)

Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
If you go next door to 'The Works' they have one for £14:99.......I know which one my money is on......in fact I bought one for hubby today.....now just have to teach him the rudiments.

Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
Oh, yeah before someone points it out to me......the game is called Suduko......I get it wrong almost every time. I have to see it written down and even then sometimes I'm not so sure!

Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
Sorry Margaret, in my three newspapers it's called Sudoku?

Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
I'm not quite an addict yet, but that little machine sounds a real bargain. I'll go out and buy one straight away. I often refer to it "Sadoku" because of the perceived waste of time it takes to complete. Yet if you want to preserve those brain neurons and keep senility at bay then this is one good brain exercise.

I think Sadoku is the right name for it......and you're right it does exercise the grey cells. |

I love sudoku, I will deffo be getting myself one of those Margaret, thanks for the advice!! |
Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
One of the addicts at work told me that a handheld version was £30 in either Comet or Curry's. Definately better if you can get it for a fiver even if you have to buy batteries.

They were at the 'Toys' end , close to the middle aisle. They definitely have them in the Eastgate shop...and they are just as you go in at the door...middle shelf. The Works is a stationary and book shop next door to H&B on broadway. Hope you are lucky and get one of these great little stocking fillers......we're having hours of Grrrrrrrr! with ours. |
Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
I went back down and still couldnt find one in home & bargain so I went next door and got one at £15 ( I know, I know...) - small price to pay to see her smile , I also got her a sudoku book and a pack of pencils !!
that should keep her quiet for a while |
Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
I've got a couple of books of it from Asda and do a couple everyday.Isn't it frustrating when you balls up an put a number in the wrong place and I normally do that on the easy ones. It's a great puzzle to play and I find i'm very good at it.

Re: Attention Sudoku Addicts.....!
On advice, I bought one of those Sudoku machines. Eventually got the hang of all the buttons but didn't like the display. A bit small and needs to catch the light right to see well. It was giving me headaches.
Still, I use it to set each problem; transfer it to a sheet of paper for solving and then, although I know if I have it right, just enter the final result to see it pass the solution as 'good'. |
