Re: Snouts in the trough!
I am inclined to agree with Geoff on this one. I appreciate that as part of their Job that they have to travel to London, which is of course a long way if you are anywhere north of Watford. As with any other employment that requires travelling they should get a travel allowance when having to travel on work related buisness.
However, £59-000 is taking the bloody P*ss! |
Re: Snouts in the trough!
Dont forget second residences personal assistants (very personal in some cases) taxis entertainment bills. The kist could go on and all that for sitting on a bench with 600 plus who are as bad.

Re: Snouts in the trough!
You have just unwittingly put forward an argument for the abolition af Parliament and the return of an Absolute Monarchy (which as it happens I am rather keen on)!
Lets face it, at least you expect the Royals to spend money on party's! Not this bunch of looney labour moron's |
Re: Snouts in the trough!
Wouldnt say unwittingly he he just owd lizzie and co are a hell of a lot cheaper. :D

Re: Snouts in the trough!
Indeed they are!
Perhaps they could use this new found power by sticking Fat John Prescotts head on a pike and using his recycled flab to reduce world starvation! |
Re: Snouts in the trough!
Only one problem there would be the Save The Whale campaigners. :D
|
Re: Snouts in the trough!
Perhaps that would not be such a bad thing. They could put him in one of those special reserves where people could come and look at him and even possibly throw food at him at feeding time!

Re: Snouts in the trough!
I do not consider the Monarch or her heirs to be tyrants, however I understand and except your point.
However, rather them than corrupt bent socialist rather alleged socialist politicians who are only thinking of themselves and lining their own pockets at other peoples expense. They are interesting in nothing more than trying to put themselves in the history books and are not looking beyond the end of their noses. Lets face it. If things went to a referendum, (even with Charles being as unpopular as he has been this last few years) Between Charles III and President Blair we would have an absolute Monarch tomorrow! |
Re: Snouts in the trough!
the only difference between the queen and mp's is that although they both get paid for sitting on their arses the queen has to wave her hand while doing so.
good value for money all that extra hand waving anyway better not mouth off about the queen too much or i may find myself dead in a crashed car somwhere in a tunnel in france :engsmil: |
