Christmas or Xmas?

I've noticed that most people on here stick to the traditional Christmas. I have to admit I'm not a big fan of Xmas, what does everyone else think? Quick poll!

not religious at all, well not Christian; but hate the word Xmas - just brings about all the things that are wrong with modern society and how fake people are now.

Always Christmas, I think it belittles the true meaning of Christmas when Christ is removed from it.

Well it has to be Christmas as Xmas sounds like a computer game.

I use both, prob as roy said on here I would be lazy and use xmas and also on text. But do like to see Merry Christmas rather than Merry Xmas

Re: Christmas or Xmas?

I stil pronounce Xmas as Christmas so in spoken language it makes no difference. If I'm chit-chatting it's Xmas, If I am writing formally (Cards, or at work) I use Christmas.

Definitely Christmas but when I was in Chicago last week, one thing that really got on my nerves was their constant use of the phrase "Happy holidays". I really hope it never catches on over here!

It's Christmas most of the time. But I do tend to use xmas when texting.
