Re: New Year's Honours List
Why give a knighthood to someone who has made stacks of money out of doing very little? - and then b*****s off so that he won't have to pay tax on the dosh?
I agree that the honours system is deeply flawed, too many showbiz personalities - I don't mind the ones that get their gongs for their charity work, that's above and beyond, but it would be nice to see the ordinary people who give up their time to do voluntary work (thus saving the Government loads of money) getting some recognition for it. |
Re: New Year's Honours List
it's only a title; wouldnt accept one if i got one. apart from my disagreement with the whole necessity of monarchy; the title makes people jaded thinking theyre better than everybody else.

I agree with Brucie getting one.......50 years in showbiz, the cutt-throat world of back biting........anyone deserves a medal for putting up with all the bureaucrats.
Why Gordon "F****ng" Ramsey (still trying to work that one out) |
