Re: EEEk!!
Ah its only a straight forward procedure that, ask for instructions and do it yourself, you'll have recovered by the time they find a bed there :)

Re: EEEk!!
Thanks everyone, its a bit strange Doug, its a constant niggly pain that absolutely sodding kills if I cough, laugh or some doctor prods it!
Now my dilema, If I stay overnight in an NHS hospital my company private heathcare pay an overnight allowance OR I can be moved to Beardwood hospital but I don't get teh allowance. £50/night isn't to be sniffed at for doing nowt but I'd feel guilty about taking up a bed that someone else could use..... |
Re: EEEk!!
I bet the facilities at beardwood outweigh £50 :p
Go for it! |
Re: EEEk!!
It's your body, so it’s your choice. You’ve got an NHS bed by right and personally I’d use it…Having said that it comes down to how vital your treatment becomes if the risk factor increases the choice between money or comfort becomes irrelevant.
Consider this; you can have a night of comfort and pampering when you get home. Following which when your feeling better, you can go out and treat yourself and your good lady to 50 quid’s worth of whatever you fancy… Now about this pain when you laugh? Have you heard the one about……………….:) |
Re: EEEk!!
tinks is the expert on that subject,,,shame you wernt in at the same time,,, she WOULD have made you laugh
|
Re: EEEk!!
Take the £50 and don't worry about the bed......let the staff do the worrying.......you are better off at BRI where there is medical cover ALL the time. Good luck Ian......and it might just be as well to shave your bits.....if they DO operate then someone will come along and want to do that first.
|
Re: EEEk!!
I would not worry about shaving you leave your modisty at the door when you go into hospital but i must admit i did have a shave before i went for the Angiogram them lovery gowns with that nice big opening at the back but i did get some paper knickers to wear as well hehe i hope it all works out for you see you soon
|
Re: EEEk!!
Mick I wasn't thinking modesty.....I was thinking duff blades......they certainly were when I worked in the NHS......and with financial constraints I can't believe they will have improved.
