Dont need the PC brigade for that up here. Stopped wearing mine because of the grief I got about "handgliders" from the very narrow minded. Wonder if aI can put a "hot Cross" on their bun eeerrrrm. :D

I don't, but might start. If anyone is offended, I will tell them that I am offended and probably more than you are, so what you gonna do about THAT mate?

The ones in the picture you posted have a marzipan cross. The cross is usually dough mixed with marzipan, to make it lighter in colour than the bun dough, which is usually a pale yellow because of the spices.

Will they now ban all religious "bits" so that no one of any faith is offended?

Its more to do with tradition than religion isn't it really. I eat hot cross buns cos I like them not because of religion and i eat them at easter cos thats when they're available, cos thats when they're traditionally available

I got some in Asda yesterday and easter is a few weeks away yet so how can they be easter only grub. Some places do them all year round because people like them.

Re: hot x buns

True but they dont get put on the centre stand packed up and on offer at any other time than easter. but yes I buy them most of the year round, they are one of my favourite foods, and are my favourite bun/cake type of food, id rather have one than a doughnut anyday.
