Well I never suffer from any mood swings at all, I'm always sweetness and light, happy to see anyone, laughing and joking all the time. Never feel stressed, fed up, bloated, angry, frustrated ever!!!!

Oh but I am a compulsive liar :p ;) :D

Know exactly what you mean Emma and have bin doing what you do for years now (yes, even at your age !) ... also the common getting to the top of the stairs and 'wonder why I came up here in the first place' syndrome. Just doesn't happen to middle aged people; to young ones too.. my grandaughter is always asking me why she came up to her bedroom, just that the older you get, the more sensitive you are to this, and people just put it 'down to your age'.

I think also women have to think about lots of things at once and you may be going up the stairs and have to think about lunch boxes for the morning, so the first task is forgotten for a while. Multi-tasking brain I call it, but we do eventually catch up.

Was just trying to offer some comfort to my 'fellow' ladies and you go and spoil it all.:p

Can talk about lunch boxes another time, I am going to make a tuna salad tomorrow ... is that what you meant ? .. or has my memory faded again

Hang on - anybody saying that MEN don't get forgetful as they get older? They go through life apparently congenitally incapable of remembering silly little things like birthdays and anniversaries. I work in Family Law, and it is amazing how many men can't actually remember when their children's birthdays are, or sometimes even their middle names. Women never have that problem!

Just as a snippet, on the richer half of the family, one of my cousins bought himself a Porsche when he hit 50. It is known in the family as the "Menoporsche".

Well I sure hope that if they find a way of you ladies NOT having to put up with PMT it is soon and works

Funny, I and my two daughters have never suffered from PMT, not all women do. Just incase you men are not aware of the fact!

Nor me, Phylum or never had the syptoms that come with menopause.
Just the memory thingy now, finish up in conversation saying "Oh yes, I saw that thingy film, starring thingy, who is married to thingy, daughter of that famous actor suchabody, and at the end of the film thingy killed him, didn't he?" "Oh no ! thinking of the wrong film was the other thingy film" Like those recurring thingys when you did long decimal division.
