Menopause 'hits learning'

Heading on an article this weekend re. another 'expensive' research; this into memory loss whilst we women are going through this 'change' in our lives. Due to a drop in the hormone oestrogen it makes us struggle to learn information in the way we did when younger. They have noticed that we forget names and have difficulty learning new facts, wondering if it was an early development of Alzheimers. (yeh !! have worried about this meself).
Tell us something we don't already know !! The only light at the end of the tunnel was that there was no evidence that we had worse memory problems than normal, just go through a stressful time with being pulled in a lot of different directions. Many work, have careers, ageing parents, children, and never had time to learn things properly. I find this last bit quite comforting and a justified reason to explain this to the men in our life when we forget an important fact, and that we are not just stupid.
Quote: The researchers have called for larger studies to confirm their findings. I await with interest, so don't give up yet gals. :D

Oh, I don't know Chav, please stay, male menopause is just starting to be recognised, although does tend to come in the form of younger models, fast sports cars and coming ya' hair forward instead of backwards. So you may learn summat.

No, stick around, more men need to know this sort of stuff! :p Surely it's important to understand that we can't be held responsible for all our bad moods and forgetfulness. :D :D :D

And why not. Your body, your hormones, your mood. It has nothing to do with us.

Oh, it has everything to do with you - don't think you can get out of it by playing the 'man' card! It's a shared experience!

It's not shared in my house. I try and stay out of the way best I can.

Wait till Emily hits 13 - you might think three boys out weighs two women but not a chance.

Yeah but staying out of the way when the kids are driving you mad will warrant a slap in the gob when you get back home too:D :D
