Re: well i ask you!!!!
This group have four diferent chains and the only ones I have been in are in Hanley. They may want smarter clientel but the ones I visited in the evening were just as rough even if most had shirt and tie's on. These had a dress code warning but it was only small and as a result I had to go back to the hotel and change out of jeans and trainers. Alls I wanted was a meal and bear after a 10 hour shift and to unwind. If they want a dress cde then fine enforce it in the evening not at lunch time as they are turning people away who might have been on early shift and want to relax. Just because they are not attired correctly does not mean they are going to misbehave or not spend money. It stinks of stereo typing to me!

Yeh, not disagreeing Spuggie, just thought it would be interesting to see on what reports from their other establishments/consultants they are basing this policy. Will be some financial reason somewhere, etc. Looked at the Observer report re. the disabled lady and The Calder spokeswoman only stated re. better clientele etc., Just verbally spilling out what she had been trained to say.
