Norman Kember
well if it wasnt bad enough this gereatric old twerp went and got himself taken hostage he has the gaul not to even thank the british forces that rescued him and the other 2 hostages only came up with a thankyou after been asked why they hadnt thanked the soldiers
these ingrates shoulda been falling to their knees with gratitude but can even manage a simple thankyou only after much media attention after his failure to say thankyou did Kember's associates say that he may have thanked them privately  a spokeswoman appeared on tv stating that any of her dogooders would not appreciate been rescued if taken hostage if it meant acts of violence beem used so you heard it from their own kind on TV folks , if they get captured let them rot :D |
Re: Norman Kember
Yes I quite agree, I would have been jumping round their neck in relief. Anyway he shouldn't have been there he is too old. As far as the rest of the so called peace keepers go, if they are caught leave, them there, if that's what they want. None of them bothered about the bloke from Liverpool who had his head chopped off. And as far as the soldiers clobbering the bad Iraquis, and supposed to have been cruel to them, they did'nt chop their heads off did they? I think I would have done more than that to them, the way they have treated our soldiers. What more do they want, we have got rid of a very very bad man, who has killed and buried thousands, and thousands of his own people. Hip Hip Hurrah! for the brave men who are there.( Soldiers) I mean. I hope, if more are kidnapped again, leave them there, if that's what they want.:engsmil:

Re: Norman Kember
Maybe he thought h was gods right hand man and his mission was to enlighten the poor souls. The soldiers risked life and limb and dont even get a wimpering cheers that is an insult and a disgrace in my book!
|
Re: Norman Kember
It was only when he was shamed by the head of the British forces, that he grudgingly thanked the soldiers who saved his neck.
A very lucky old man. |
Re: Norman Kember
His wife said thanks, but he wouldent... i dont think he cared that other people risked their own necks to save him....How ungrateful some folk can be...
|
Re: Norman Kember

Re: Norman Kember
I heard one report that he didn't actually want to be rescued, in which case why don't they offer to parachute drop him back?
|
Re: Norman Kember
Oh you beat me to it Basher. I was distracted by the kids coming in!
|
Re: Norman Kember
Maybe the difficulty he had in thanking his rescuers was because they were military men. Perhaps he felt that he was not being true to himself if he thanked them......however I think that it is a christian thing to do to thank someone who has helped get you out of a hole....and very unchristian to ignore their noble efforts, because as well as being soldiers they are human beings and were helping another human being.

Re: Norman Kember
He might not be as christian as he makes out.

Re: Norman Kember
Take his pension for the time he was in Iraq and give it to the soldiers who rescued him. They could have a few pints with it and with the publisity and no doubt newspaper and magazine exclusives he wont miss it the ungrateful tube of a man.
|
Re: Norman Kember
He probably didnt appologise because he thought it was their 'duty' to rescue him. Arsewipe.
