Big brother...
oh well its back... who's gonna b watching this?
and interesting concept with the whole golden ticket thing from kitkat... only thing is they chuck the most interesting people out first and leave the boring ones in. |
Re: Big brother...
Can't wait Mani!
 I'll do the usual .... watch on the first night who's goes in the house, then ring round all the mates saying what muppets they are this year and vow not to watch it! Then morning after just out of curiosity ;) I'll have to check nothing happened overnight. Then watch the highlights of that day ....... then I'll be hooked! AGAIN! |
Re: Big brother...
*L* its a shame that the witch from last season went out first - it wud've been wicked to see her for 5 weeks
|
Re: Big brother...
I'm with you on this tinks...vow not to bother watching cos it takes over with it being on every day then watch the start, see if they settle in and before you know it you love to hate it and hate to love it...but you just can't stop watching it in case you miss something!!!!!!!!!!!  :o
|
Re: Big brother...
If the Sunday papers are right I sort of know one of the people rumoured to be going into the house. Hopefully he won't, as he is the most obnoxious, silly git who will be this year's most aggravating housemate.
Anyway, I'll be tuned in everynight to see this year's freaks and their antics. |
Re: Big brother...
this one is a must watch one folks
they have broke the boundries of entertainment yet again simply by doing away with the chickens and having a cow for teh sad pathetic loosers ( housemates) to play with it may be worth watching to see if they have put yet another sexual devient in there that may possibly find teh cow attractive  |

Re: Big brother...
Every time this show has a TV outing, somone starts a thread. Why? The show is utter drivel and we get the same utter, repetitive drivel posted on here. If we do have to have it, could the moderators please move the thread into another section where the more civilised members of the forum can avoid it.
|

I avoid threads I don't want to read wherever they are, so I wouldn't have to belittle myself by first reading them, and secondly posting in them. |
Re: Big brother...
P.S. Tut tut also to myself, Roy and Gayle for starting threads last year on this drivel, which all three of us watch.:)

Anyway back on thread, I can think of loads of people I'd like to lock in a house and watch them disintergrate from the comfort of my sofa.:) |
Re: Big brother...
The set - shown to the press ahead of Thursday's launch - was "a lot less well behaved" than previous years, the Changing Rooms host told the Guardian.
The house is dominated by glass and an "inside out" theme, with a carpeted garden and grass in the kitchen. Meanwhile, the Sun says there will not be enough beds for all 12 contestants. The newspaper claims there will be three double beds, one more than last year. |
Re: Big brother...
I always resist until about week five, when, out of curiosity I have a quick look just to laugh at how ridiculous they are. Then the night after I can't help myself but pop back at which point I admit that I'm hooked again and watch the rest of the series. That's why I tend not to know the ones that are thrown out early on. Only one I completely resisted from start to finish was the last one.
|
Re: Big brother...
Cant wait for tomorrow night. A cow and an inside out house. It's going to be pretty weird.
I hope it's going to be better than last year though. |
Re: Big brother...
So its BB7 or 8 is it, i wouldn't know as I can honestly say I have never watched one transmission and try to miss paper reports. Can't see the point in watching nomarks pratting about for what, 13 weeks, watching paint dry would be more thrilling. As an alternative try the discovery Channel on Sky 520, much beter entertainment.

Re: Big brother...
For those of you who seek slightly more intellectual stimulation from your TV set, this is what to do:
1) Get a large bucket and with it proceed to the nearest vet. 2) For a small fee, get the vet to fill the bucket with dog diarrhoea. 3) Return home (trying to avoid any spillage), switch on TV, tune in to said "Big Brother" and then empty contents of bucket over the set. 4) Spend the next 6 weeks staring at TV and contemplating the meaning of life. |
Re: Big brother...
Owww guess what Mr T, if anyone decides to do that to my TV i can even watch it on my mobile aswell as the PC now ;) :D
Same complaint as last year! WHY NO REAL MAN? They are either gay or pretty boys (with the exception of Glyn GROSS!!)!! It's such a sexist show now! I wanted some eye-candy! :( I hope Petes tourettes kicks in quick, I'm one of the sick people who find it hysterical! :D |

Why do we, every year, get someone who hates BB with a vengence, but insists on coming into the BB thread to tell us about it.
I blame you mani, you did this, you worded the thread wrong, you put will 'you be watching it', and you should have put 'if your watching it' what do you think. so who do you think are the babes and who are the mingers?, who's sane who's not?, who will walk? who will win? |
Re: Big brother...
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just in from nights and what do I see Shazbaz talking to himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well really playing to the cameras.
|
Re: Big brother...
Early favourite for me to win is Pete. The kind of sweet eccentric we seem to take to our hearts in this country.
First to walk Bonn eh. |
Re: Big brother...
I like Pete and I hope that he can last a long time
|
Re: Big brother...
pete is annoying, he's trying to be someone he's not, but at least he's a decent guy, shabaz is annoying but by far the worst and most vile in there is the manc thing, I imagine that all the decent folk of manchester are cringing at it, hoping that people don't think they're all like that. She should be first out then shabaz then pete, or should the second be the one thats so far up his own...
Nicest are the mummy and daddy, bless em. |
Re: Big brother...
I hope Shabaz goes early on he propper gets on your nerves. It would be nice if Pete was to be the winner.

Re: Big brother...
Yes but so has pete, infact even more so, why on earth do you want him to win, why can't someone normal win. Thought you'd be watching it Anne:)
I think shabang might be worth keeping in for entertainment value. The manc should go first. |
Re: Big brother...
Yup, up to now I'm hoping Pete is the winner
|
Re: Big brother...
why???????
|
Re: Big brother...
I think after Shera the most annoying other person is Nicky 'I have a migrane, I can only drink bottled water, I'M GOING TO DIE!' is obviously someone who wasn't slapped enough as a child. She'd make a good Violet Elizabeth if they are doing a remake of Just William.
Just watched last night's taped episode, they've only been in 24 hours and it's all kicked off big style. Oh what fun.:) |
Re: Big brother...
It sounds screwed up in there enough to make me take a peek. Heard it discribed as bad as well as mad. Will there be a punch up with plenty of bruising and blood if its that cookoot
|
Re: Big brother...
Just watched the programme for the first time ever this weekend and I'm amazed. Don't you lot find there are enough obnoxious prats talking garbage in everyday life without watching more on TV?

Re: Big brother...
He doesn't make me laugh because imitating a comedian, that's imitating another comedian isn't funny. We'll be getting people immitating pete next. It's put on, it's an act for the cameras, he shouldn't even be in there, it's an embarassment and does make big brother crap tv. Big brother is supposed to be about normal everyday people being in a house, not the most messed up in the head people. Out of all the ones I've seen so far this is by far the worst.
pete wants sectioning, the manc needs locking up and her mouth scrubbing with soap, nikki needs boot camp, shabaz is ok, he just needs to learn others have feelings, bonnie is great, imogen is too, although a bit full of herself, lisa is the only plastic barbie i know of who isn't full of herself, cares about others and has a heart of gold. all the rest seem normal decent people. the freaks shouldn't be in there, get them out and it will become the social experiment, game, that it's supposed to be. But they won't and you won't you'll keep all the freaks in cos they make you laugh, and all the normal but genuinly interesting ones will get evicted. I haven't got a favourite to win, but it should be a girl I think. as long as lisa, pete, nikki, shabaz, sezer don't win i'll be happy. |
Re: Big brother...
Quote:
As for playing up for the cameras, I mentioned earlier I was introduced to him in Brighton and he is as he appears on screen all the time, and I think copes admirably and with humour with what must be a very hard condition to live with. As for BB being for normal people, it never has and never will be. You'd have to be fairly abnormal to want to spend up to three months in a house that was under the constant gaze of the cameras and the viewing millions at home. |
Re: Big brother...
No I meant the stupid norman wisdom acts are for the camera, the ongoing acts are just ongoing acts. It's either an act or there's far more than tourettes. I don't know who I want out first lisa or pete. I think it's lisa though, she's vile, because for all pete's annoyances, He seams quite a caring person. Caring qualities in a person are important to me. He seams to care about shabaz, god knows why. Shabaz is funny, especially when he hid the food. Whats he hoping to achieve by that.
|
Re: Big brother...
I don't know who I want to go first Shabaz or that annoying Nicky. Pete is sooo funny and I think he's dead brave going in there.
Having Tourette's doesnt make him a freak or an idiot. |
Re: Big brother...
Quote:
Tourette's is an illness that makes the body tick, hence the sometimes jerky movement, and not all people with it develop vocal ticks that result in swearing. God this is getting so serious Tealeaf will be tuning in to see what we are all talking about, though of course he will deny it.;) |
Re: Big brother...
coincidence, what a load of rubbish, it's an act, a continuos act, he's based himself on a role model, he doesn't need to think about it now because he's done it so long it comes natrually. When ever he want attention out comes norman. more attention and he shouts wa ers a few time. He's annoying, he should be thrown out lisa.
|
Re: Big brother...
Quote:
Well done. Perhaps if you could show a little of the compassion he obviously has the world would be a happier place. |
Re: Big brother...
He seems to be coping very well with it rindy. How do you want me to show this compasion, he's on my tv screen, he chose to be, I'm having to watch him if I want to watch the others, and I find him annoying. I wouldnt mind if i could put him on ignore but i can't. Actually does he want people to feel compasion for him , or would he want people to treat him like he's got nothing wrong with him.
basically I understand the illness but I think a lot of it is habbit, his way of coping with it. I find him annoying, that has nothing to do with having compasion |
Re: Big brother...
Quote:
Secondly it is a neurological disease not a 'habit'. Tourette's is a result of not producing dopamine in the part of the brain that controls movement. Very similar to Parkinson's infact, so at the next meet if my shaking hand or leg offends you I appologise. Thirdly judge him on what he does not is involuntary tick. Call him a prat, but judge him on the actions that he chooses to do rather than the actions he can't control. |
