Ossy Civic Theatre
I was having a conversation with a few mates and the Ossy Civic Theatre came up. One chap said that Eric Clapton (Slow Hand) had appeared at the theatre, which I questioned. Being a huge Clapton Fan I certainly think that if Eric had been appearing in Ossy I would have been on the front row. I'm sure that my mate was getting mixed up with Rick Wakeman who has appear a couple of times with his son. anyone know better

No chance, but I can confirm that Van Morrison has appeared at Accy Con.

Re: Ossy Civic Theatre
might not agree with your taste in politics.:D but your taste in music is first class - clapton has NEVER to my knowledge appeared at ossy civic- unless it was the 2 years i lived abroad -even then i'm sure i would have known i have seen clapton a few times the last being at sheffied arena about 10/12 years ago, what did surprise me that night his base guitarist was non other than andy fairweather low. he generally does about 3/4 weeks at the royal albert hall feb/march and tickets are usually gone within days, ossy civic hall? FORGET IT lol

Re: Ossy Civic Theatre
It probably was Eric Claphand, the Eric Clapton tribute act - that's what we usually get at Ossy Civic Theatre.

Re: Ossy Civic Theatre
It was the year when they had a hit with 'For your Love'....they sang that song on stage and said it was going to be released as a single soon after that. I remember buying the record at Mary's music on Whalley Rd.

Re: Ossy Civic Theatre
As Mr C says, Eric left after "For Your Love" was released, so I reckon it was the great man himself. Who'd a'thowt it? Slowhand at Accy Con!
