I dunno...when I was in Hereford for the Stanley game a few months back I popped into a back street boozer I had not been in for 20-odd years. I actually recognised one the old locals in there..anyway, I ordered and got a pint of scrumpy, served up from the poly pin. Still as good has I remember.

If you can get there early enough, there is also the Cider museum to visit...I dunno if it'd open saturday though. I was told to go and see it before the game, but I thought I 'd have a drink instead.

What's "Raver" having a moan about (above)? As usual, I can't make any sense of his posts.

I bet there is a perfectly charming fellow under his rustic exterior.

Anyway, the pub is the "Victory" on Owen street (its quite central)...there is also another pub I popped in, called the Barrel (or maybe Barrels?????). The cider the locals like is Thatchers, but there are quite a few farmhouse producers which "guest".

Thanks for the validation GC you know from my past madness's, I never did get them to hold a sheep run in Burnley to coincide with the Pamplona bull run, they just asked "What are you on?"
I know its a soft option (you cant get gored by a fluffy sheep) but it might have been fun.:Banane10: :Banane10: :Banane10: :ohmy8:

Too right, in my case anyway...and think of all those new pubs to be explored in all those exotic locations from Macclesfield to Grimsby! Little old beer drinker me! :D

Must admit, I'm not looking forward to visiting Milton keynes....I don't think there are any pubs there. Its an awful place.
