too many to mention!!! Was a walking disaster area in the early 80's but i had a good reason - i was too young to know better but now im too old to know any better! lol

Only one i will mention is baggy trousers in that shiny material - blue!

No pictures rind - refuse to let anyone see me in my 80's clothes!

Now i just live in jeans, tshirts & trainers

I'm a 90's lad so the worst thing us lads had was probably the bowl cut happy mondays style thing going on, around '96 time.
Then 98 came around & every 11 year old was David Beckham...enter 'The Curtains' oh dear.
The worst bit of fashion going round was them trackie bottoms with poppers...eurgh.

Like to think I'm a bit of a style diva nowadays like :p

Re: Fashion shame.

It's hard to know where to begin to start with my fashion disasters

Was it the Boy George look, the Bananarama look, the Siouxsie and the Banshee look - oh, it just goes on and on. I changed my 'look' more often than Madonna did (and that reminds me of the Madonna look circa Holiday).

Actually, I know which was the worst one. I was going out with someone who was quite rich (not something I was used to) and he offered to take me shopping to Manchester. Naturally, I went for the most expensive dress in the shop - which was about £250, expensive these days but think back 20 years. Anyway, it was white (!!!!) crushed velvet, it had a white leather piece that hung down from the neck line that had diamante and studs on it and a belt sort of affair madeout of white leather that had the same diamante and studs on. The skirt was full and had a split in it up to the thigh with some fronds of netting hanging down.

I bring this one up, not because it was the most hideous, believe me my fashion disasters extend way beyond crushed velvet and leather but it was my biggest fashion disaster because of the expense. The thing was delivered in a box complete with tissue paper for goodness sake! I'd been blown away by how much he was spending on me that I completely lost sight of any reasonable idea of what looked good and I actually thought I looked classy in it.

I wouldn't spend that much on a dress now!

I think a grey and burgundy cavalry shirt bought from Alien in Blackburn was a disaster. Worn twice and then cobbed as I could`nt give it away

I never had such fashion disasters i'd rather pioneer them although one went down to a complete flop wearing a clip with multi coloured tied laces in that i got from america, apparently someone did one better than me & wore socks as a hair bobble :stop: :D
