Adi

Do you play in Saturday or Sunday league?

We have a team in Sunday league and have a free weekend in a couple of weeks and wondered if you were free and fancied a beating ( sorry a friendly )

Just had a look at your site and noticed Simon Leyland play's for you, is he fit now or is his knee still knackered?

adi 17-09-2003 13:53

Re: Adi

we play on both Saturday and Sundays in the 11-a-side Leagues and Monday and Friday Nights in the 7-a-side down at Hyndburn Sports Centre.

as for the beating/friendly we are always available to play an organised game if we could arrange proceeds to go Club Funds or a Charity.

as for the website - do you like it? we are after some feedback cos its been up and running properly for about six months.

on the Sim Leyland front - he knee is knackered. The last time I spoke to him, he already had one operation and was waiting to have another two.

he thinks he going to be out for another year - poor fella

by the way what team do you play for?

Ruud 17-09-2003 13:59

Re: Adi

We can get a proper organised friendly then, I play for Stanlet Street Old Boys, used to be Queens in the Sunday league, currently third in table played 3 won 3 however top two have played one more game and we play second on sunday.

Website is very good, I wouldnt mind doing something simular for our team.

I saw Simon last month at a wedding we both went too, he said he would be out for a while but didnt think that long.

Funds raised could go to Charity, not club funds

adi 17-09-2003 14:05

Re: Adi

A friendly for charity is always a winner - we can discuss it more when we beat you on 12th October in the Memorial League!!

Yeah ive noticed that you have had a good start to the season - we slipped up against the Dog Inn two weeks ago.

We absolutely battered them but couldnt put the ball in the net then typically they went up and scored in the last minute to win 2 - 1.

Who do you play for on Saturday's?

Ruud 17-09-2003 14:12

Re: Adi

12th October !!, Oh dear, the day after England v Turkey game, there will be some sore heads that morning, we played on Sunday after I got in at 04.00 after being out since midday and still won so its not so bad.

Well have to get Cazzer, Tracy, et all to do some pom pom cheering on the sidelines

Dont play saturdays, its a drinking day

adi 17-09-2003 14:15

Re: Adi

I forgot that it was the day after the big game - both sides will be a wreck!!

I was marking Duncan Dean last week and he said that he didnt play for you anymore on Sundays but that you had a good team this year.

I reckon the Griffins Head will probably win our division though.

As for getting the Forum Girls down with their pom poms - it could be a laugh....................

Ruud 17-09-2003 14:17

Re: Adi

It will be close between Griffin and Ourselves however I fancy us to pip them, especially with the extra experience

adi 17-09-2003 14:22

Re: Adi

possibly as you should have kick-on and gone up last season.

although ive tipped Griffins Head cos they are playing some of the Whinney Lads from a Saturday.

anyway i hope that come the end of the season we might just be there or there abouts!!

Ruud 17-09-2003 14:27

Re: Adi

What position you play?

Don't want me cheerleading Ruud! Too much bouncing about going on, and don't mean the ball! ;D  Think Tracey's the one for that job  :)

Could help out in the showers after though!  [smiley=up2something.gif]

Mick 17-09-2003 15:13

Re: Adi

Whats all this cazzer "Could help out in the showers " indead tut tut ;)

Ruud 17-09-2003 15:15

Re: Adi

Quality, LOL

adi 19-09-2003 13:29

Re: Adi

i play centre-half Rudd - what about you?

as for you Cazzer - im sure a couple of the lads would take you up on the offer!!!

;D

Caz 19-09-2003 13:33

Re: Adi

Yippee!! can't wait!   ;D ;D ;D

(When did you say the match was?!)  ;D ;D ;D

adi 19-09-2003 13:46

Re: Adi

you will have to contain that excitement Cazzer - the game isn't until the 12th October!!!

;D ;D

Ruud 19-09-2003 14:21

Re: Adi

No chance of us colling Adi, as I play Left Back ( no jokes please ) unless you come upfront if you get a corner

Jo 19-09-2003 14:46

Re: Adi

I can cover the right wing for you if you want, have learnt many a thrifty move in the 5 seasons I've played here in Italy, Alessandro Del Piero eat your heart out!!

Ruud 19-09-2003 14:50

Re: Adi

Ha Ha more like Ian Dowie ;D

adi 19-09-2003 15:44

Re: Adi

dont normally go up for corners Rudd - i leave that to the taller members of our team.

might have to pop up for one and score the winner though.....................

Ruud 19-09-2003 15:47

Re: Adi

Had a drink today Adi by any chance?

As you are in dreamland, who plays on the right wing for you's, he will never get past Mikael Silvestre ( sorry I mean ME ) :)

adi 19-09-2003 15:54

Re: Adi

i dont need a drink ruud - my goalscoring record is up there with...........er............er..........its coming................. Brad Freidel!!!!

as for our Right Winger we have used three different ones already this season so you'll just have to wait till the match.

;D

Ruud 19-09-2003 15:59

Re: Adi

Bring them on, Giggs, Pires, Duff never got passed me !

Well on Fifa 2003 they havent.

Looking forward to game now, as it has been broadcast on here someone will be quite shy and embarrased on Monday October 13th, and at a guess it would be someone from Church FC

Ruud 22-09-2003 08:14

Re: Adi

Adi mate, how did you go on yesterday and who did you play, we beat Forrester 4 - 2 up at Norden

adi 22-09-2003 08:47

Re: Adi

that's a good result for your lot - we played the Griffins Head up at King George's.

we lost 1-2 but shouldn't have done - we played them off the park and should have been 2 or 3 up by half-time.

after yesterday's game I think that your lot will be champions but im sure we can still beat you!!

Ruud 22-09-2003 09:19

Re: Adi

Tough game on Sunday we play Miners in the Cup then Griffin in league following week followed by an easy game on October 12th  ;D

adi 22-09-2003 09:45

Re: Adi

Miners are a very good side - they knocked us out of the Cup last year.

We have got Cross Axes in the Cup this week, followed by Forester's and your lot.

Should be three wins on the spin really.........................

;D

Ruud 22-09-2003 09:53

Re: Adi

Forresters are a young and quick team but we out footballed them, they are managed by a woman as well who deosnt shut up for the entire 90 minutes

Mik Dickinson 22-09-2003 09:55

Re: Adi

Now i for one will be very interested in the outcome of this game.Watching closely.

adi 22-09-2003 12:41

Re: Adi

yeah they arent a bad side and they have started the season quite well.

we did quite well against them last season though, so fingers crossed we might do the same again.

as for a woman rabbitting on for 90 minutes, its going to be just like a midweek night at home!!!!

;D

Ruud 22-09-2003 12:58

Re: Adi

You can say that again, however my missus is very knowledgeable about football so is OK

adi 22-09-2003 13:05

Re: Adi

my missus is to be truthful - wont tell her that though!!!

;D

Ruud 22-09-2003 13:32

Re: Adi

Yeah but they can get carried away, take last night for instance she is properly obsessed with Beckham, so 19.30 comes and Corries is on and she says can we turn over to watch Madrid v Malaga, thats is obsessed

adi 22-09-2003 15:45

Re: Adi

turn over Corrie  :o

that is obsessed!!!!

still he did score a very goal though..............

Ruud 23-09-2003 07:03

Re: Adi

she did but Corrie, come on its a tab more important than Malaga v Madrid

adi 23-09-2003 09:43

Re: Adi

yeah just a little bit more important.

still its good to see that she is interested in the game we love so much!!!

Ruud 23-09-2003 09:45

Re: Adi

Not that interested Adi, she has a season ticket at Ewood, so she needs educating a little

adi 23-09-2003 09:49

Re: Adi

Come on you Blues..............

Sounds like she's more educated than you (im a Rovers fan aswell)!!!

;D

Ruud 23-09-2003 09:50

Re: Adi

So theres two of you then  ;D

adi 23-09-2003 09:54

Re: Adi

lol

yeah but at least we dont have to travel from Norway or Thailand to watch our home games unlike 60,000 'Reds'!!!

;D

Ruud 23-09-2003 09:58

Re: Adi

How do you know I follow "The Premiership Champions", I have a season ticket there and have had one for 12 years

Me too.Hopefully they will get a German team so i can watch them live.Last one was against Nuremburg and we lost 4 - 1 in a pre season friendly

Make that 3 now

Ruud 23-09-2003 10:02

Re: Adi

They wont even get passed that turkish team they are playing on Thursday ( please dont ask me to spell it as I wouldnt know were to start )

Ruud 23-09-2003 10:03

Re: Adi

At least your honest 3 fans, giving away tickets for free this sunday also against fulham, but 1 adult ticket and get 2 tickets ( yes 2 ) for under 16's

adi 23-09-2003 10:12

Re: Adi

yeah - but those 'kids' who get in free might just grow up to be Rovers fans in the future.

heaven knows they wont be United Fans cos they wont be able to get a ticket cos of all those foreign 'Reds'!!

::)

Ruud 23-09-2003 10:21

Re: Adi

No no, they will have sense and move down the M65 to Turf Moor, my missus dad got our daughter a rovers shirt as he wants her to grow up a blue however when I got home from match on Sunday, she turned round and said why cant I support United like you Daddy.

You cant buy class

adi 23-09-2003 10:25

Re: Adi

she'll end up a true blue though.

dont know what it is but there's something about Rovers that just keeps you going back (well all three of us)!!!

;D

Ruud 23-09-2003 10:29

Re: Adi

At least you have got something in common with Burnley

Loads of empty seats each home game ;D

adi 23-09-2003 10:42

Re: Adi

I think we should take a leaf out of Merchandise United books and advertise our 'seats' in Lunn Poly or Going Places so that we can fill them with johnny foreigner's just like you!!!!

When I went to Old Trafford last season in the League Cup Semi-Final it was mentioned (and then sung by 7,000 Rovers fans) that all the United Fans where sat there clutching there shopping bags and their momento's!

;D

Ruud 23-09-2003 10:58

Re: Adi

7000 Rovers Fans at the theatre of dreams? I beg to differ mate, you got the normal away end 3600 plus East Stand Tier 2. Now East Tier Two was not even full and United were in the normal away end, Rovers even sent tickets back as they couldnt sell them, more like we took 7000 to your place twice in 3 weeks Christmas and Worthless Cup Semi 2nd leg

Anyway neck on block now are we having a wager on our game?

adi 24-09-2003 08:45

Re: Adi

well it has been said that i never sherk a bet.

so yeah your on - we'll have a wager on our game, it should make it more interesting.

what do you fancy?

Ruud 24-09-2003 08:57

Re: Adi

A Ton?

adi 24-09-2003 09:11

Re: Adi

tracey 24-09-2003 09:29

Re: Adi

makes 4 of us now i am also a rovers fan!  ;D ;D ;D

tracey 24-09-2003 09:30

Re: Adi

and as for cheer leading rather sit in pub! ;D

Ruud 24-09-2003 09:59

Re: Adi

A ton, works out at £7 each for a squad of 14, however if its just between me and your good self, what about £10

adi 24-09-2003 11:05

Re: Adi

the bet is just going to be between me and you so yeah a tenner is fine pal.

if the games a draw we'll just have to have a pint after the game each.

as for the cheerleading tracey why dont you do that and then come and have a drink with us after?

;D

Ruud 24-09-2003 11:17

Re: Adi

OK tenner it is draw no bet, however  a doubt it would be a draw as we will win convincingly  ;D

Go on tracey, we will be all hungover after the england turkey game so will need something to cheer us up

tracey 24-09-2003 11:51

Re: Adi

might come for a drink with you, but not cheering on the side line! be too cold for that! ;D

adi 24-09-2003 14:45

Re: Adi

go on tracey the cheerleading will keep you warm.

as for it not being a draw Ruud the last time we played you it ended up 3 - 3 so it could be a possibility.

;D

Ruud 25-09-2003 07:18

Re: Adi

Adi mate, in football anything could happen on the day, you could even beat us, no no getting carried away now.

P.S What happened in Turkey yesterday tea time? ;D

Ruud 25-09-2003 07:19

Re: Adi

Missus wasnt happy about it, had silent treatment for an hour after game, calling amoruso, baggio, emerton etc

adi 25-09-2003 08:06

Re: Adi

like you said anything can happen in football - i put it down to just one of the days.

just like when your lot got beat at Southampton this season - oh i forgot, like Phil Neville said 'the pitch was to blame'!!

Ruud 25-09-2003 08:10

Re: Adi

Makes a change from not seeing their kit lol remember that grey one

adi 25-09-2003 08:14

Re: Adi

yeah that was awful - wasnt it the only time your lot wore it aswell?

Ruud 25-09-2003 08:24

Re: Adi

Yeah got rid after that game, they couldnt see each other on the pitch, remember it well went in 3 - 0 down at half time, changed kit as they couldnt see each other and conceded another 3 in second half however we did get 2 in the second half

adi 25-09-2003 08:27

Re: Adi

should fetch that kit back then in my opinion!!!!

;D

Ruud 25-09-2003 08:42

Re: Adi

Blackburn are the new United with a new kit last night, whats all that about a European kit? They will only wear it for 2 games

adi 25-09-2003 11:03

Re: Adi

i thought exactly the same thing to be honest - but has for only two games, we only need an early goal in the second leg and its game on.

probably will only wear it for two games though knowing the Rovers.................

Ruud 25-09-2003 13:22

Re: Adi

At least your honest, next bet, second leg attendance less than 10,000

adi 25-09-2003 14:32

Re: Adi

actually i think there will be more than 10,000 on in the second leg.

maybe even 15,000 on.

Ruud 25-09-2003 14:40

Re: Adi

£10? ;)

adi 26-09-2003 08:24

Re: Adi

£10 for there being more that 10,000 on?

I should point out that £10 would buy you TWO ADULT tickets for the game.

So at a £5 a piece i reckon there will be more than 10,000 on!!

;D

Ruud 26-09-2003 08:40

Re: Adi

OK £10 it is then that there is no more than 10,000 on the ground, It's only £5 for Season Ticket Holders by the way and the ones I have spoken to arnt bothering

adi 26-09-2003 10:31

Re: Adi

ive been told that its £5 for everybody and there's 30 of us going from our football club already.

just have to wait and see then pal.

Mik Dickinson 28-09-2003 19:12

Re: Adi

Think we will stuff em really. They were nowt special. With the talent we have on paper, well what can i say.Maybe Amaruso will put his contact lenses in this time.

Ruud 29-09-2003 08:47

Re: Adi

Shock Horror, we lost in Cup yesterday Adi, 4 - 0 against Miners, concentrating on league now, griffin next week, how you go on?

adi 29-09-2003 08:53

Re: Adi

i told you the Miners where a very good side.  As you say though the league is more important.

we knocked out 1st division Cross Axes. We beat them 2 - 1 but really should have a had a couple more.

we did really well cos they played a couple of Great Harwood Town players.  Graham Lightbrown their Centre-Forward told us that they beat the Miners 4 - 2 last week so it proves we did quite well yesterday.

Ruud 29-09-2003 08:57

Re: Adi

Yeah well done good result for you is that then

adi 29-09-2003 09:01

Re: Adi

yeah - i think where now in the Quarter-Finals.

just hope the draw can be kind to us............................

Ruud 29-09-2003 11:54

Re: Adi

Hope so mate, good luck anyway

tracey 29-09-2003 12:30

Re: Adi

I'll wish you luck too adi  ;D

adi 29-09-2003 12:51

Re: Adi

cheers for the support Ruud.

must admit i'd like you and the Griffins Head to draw on Sunday!!!

we've got Forresters, so we could do with a decent result.

thanks tracey for your support aswell!!

;D

Ruud 29-09-2003 14:06

Re: Adi

Were up on Whinny Hill Pitch, so qulaity football all morning

adi 30-09-2003 09:38

Re: Adi

yeah, its a decent pitch, especially if its rain a bit during the week.

personally you should have it quite easy this sunday cos you'll be marking Nick Whittaker who runs the Griffins Head.

he was a quality player but age has caught up with him a bit now.

Ruud 30-09-2003 09:42

Re: Adi

Yeah I know Nick, age has caught up with him, and so has his belly a little bit

adi 30-09-2003 13:48

Re: Adi

a little bit?

it looked like quite a bit when we played them last week!!

he's a good lad though and still has some nice touches.

we are playing at Wilson's on Sunday - so hopefully it will be a good game of football again.

Ruud 01-10-2003 12:19

Re: Adi

Adi mate, were is our game being played at? Harry is going to come down and take some pics!! Is it our game our your game?

adi 02-10-2003 14:58

Re: Adi

At this moment in time the game is to be played at Foxhill Playing Fields in Oswaldtwistle - its our home game.

Should be a good laugh really - although i dont think the football will be that great as most of our lads are going out to watch the Turkey Vs England game!!

;D

Ruud 02-10-2003 15:25

Re: Adi

Cheers , cant wait for the pics to come out and see your face when have bagged our 5th ;)

adi 06-10-2003 08:30

Re: Adi

we'll see Ruud.

less than a week to go now Pal - hope your not getting too nervous!!!

how did you go on this weekend? we beat the Foresters 3 - 0 at Wilsons.

Ruud 06-10-2003 11:18

Re: Adi

Fingers crossed for Sunday, IM Injured after yesterday, so IM in a Michael Owen situation 50 -50, yesterday we lost 5 - 4 to griffin, quality game of football, and close but they edged it on the day, also had the worst referee ever, turned up late and gave every 50 50 decision to them

adi 06-10-2003 11:24

Re: Adi

:o injured?

your not just trying to get out of the game eh Ruud!!!

seriously though the referee's we have had this season have been awful.  i was sent off the other saturday for swearing at the referee even though it was another player!! fortunately common sense has prevailed at im not going to be banned.

also we had a bad referee yesterday - he denied us two clear cut penalties that even their players admitted they were blatant.

HarryX 06-10-2003 11:35

Re: Adi

ruud? Camera shy? http://www.accringtonstanley.co.uk/m...ons/camera.gif

Ruud 06-10-2003 13:20

Re: Adi

No not camera shy :) and IM definately not trying to get out of the game, I need to be fit as we have 5 players missing next week already

adi 06-10-2003 13:35

Re: Adi

only five Ruud? I bet that number has grown come Sunday Morning, when the hangover from Englands victory kicks in.

we have around five players missing aswell - three of them are going to Turkey!! to be honest i reckon both sides will have quite a few more missing come Sunday morning.

Ruud 06-10-2003 13:49

Re: Adi

5 so far excluding myself, 4 on holiday and one working, rest of squad are out from 13.00 on Saturday for England and go knows what time we will get in if we win, 2 lads got home from a night out on Saturday at 09.00 and went straight to match

tracey 06-10-2003 14:03

Re: Adi
