Sounds very nice actually Granny, I like cheese and sticky toffee so why not have both together. Last Christmas we got some mature cheddar with fruit cake mixed in from ASDA it was delicious, well worth a try if they have it again this year.

It sounds very unusual. I used to like a peanut butter ice cream that Asda did but they stopped doing it years ago.

Is that like toffee on solid dairy cheese or a sticky toffee cheese cake Granny? I've seen the latter and thought hmmm :D

I think my weirdest might be salmon paste butty with sliced up silverskin pickled onions on it ;)

Devilled kidneys

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Devilled Kidneys is a Victorian English breakfast dish consisting of lambs kidneys cooked in sherry, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper and cream. Recipes can vary depending on which part of the country it’s prepared. The Yorkshire recipe is:
Ingredients 2 slices fresh bread, cut from a crusty loaf 1 Large knob of butter 4 lambs kidneys, chopped and cored 2 tbsp medium dry sherry 1 tsp Dijon mustard 1 tsp English mustard ½ tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce 2 tbsp double cream Salt and pepper 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped, to garnish
Even though a breakfast dish it is often washed down with a glass of black velvet! (Guinness & Champagne)

Re: Sticky Toffee Cheese

I once ordered sweetbreads as an appitizer from the menu of one of San Francisco's better restaurants , I guess due to previous misunderstandings the waiter was under instructions to check that the customer knew exactly what sweetbreads were ........I replied to his query with the comment , "Yes it's offal" ......finally after a long pause a strange look ....... the waiter said " I'm sorry Sir , but its actually quite good"

I have tried deviled kidneys and loved em but angels on horse pack is too expensive and I dont need an aphrodisiac. ;)
