School League Tables

Accymel and myself are sat here discussing secondary schools in the local area with 2 of our kids starting senior school in September. We can't find the official LEA League Tables for schools in East Lancashire for this year, does anyone know were abouts on the t'internet they've hidden them please?

Wasn't there letters about this in the last two editions of the Observer?

Someone e-mailed all the schools, and only Rhyddings responded to the question of their league table results.

Sorry can't give anymore information, as I've just been recycled this morning.:D

Perhaps she's coming down, so that you can teach her a lesson.

Unfortunately had a word with my child about it & she still wants to go to that secondary school as most of her class is 'going to that school' being feeder for it going on her feelings altho was disappointed with results of it then for me she would go to hollins her second choice but then she would be going for my sake if to change order...so what do i do? Encourage her to go to school that has reasonable standing on league table or let her make the desicion she wants to go with hope of improvement now that they are bottomish:confused: She is a bright intelligent child & hope that the school will encourage that or risk her being let down educationally. What the heck has happened to mount carmel was such a great school with good rep now being pulled so far down.

Plus i have to take into consideration of getting her there & back safely & be here for my other one coming home from primary when i dont drive:( as only parent i cant be in 2 places at once - when you consider all the options as well as educational.

Put down what you want and tell her what she wanted. Then just wait for the result and tell her they must have been full :D

It's a real dilemma this one;we have been told to try and get my daughter into a grammar school;handily both the schools mentioned have their entrance exams on the same day.Have put down BRGS and just hope she passes the exam, even then no guarantee of getting in because of locality.Have gone for Haslingden High as second choice and Hollins as third.I don't rate any of the local schools at the moment except St Chris's,not a chance of getting in there as don't have 15 year church -going record signed by the Arch bishop of Canterbury or any of their other religious demands!
