I’ve not read all of the messages in this thread because these things do get to me, but having read a couple of the latter post I am aware of Adams passing and the expression of grief that it as brought.

May he rest in peace with his family? I hope and pray that at least some people have learnt something of value out of this terrible tragedy.

I do believe that spiritually Adam and his extended family will be together, or at least they will be around him, much I understand would depend of the nature of his passing and whether he requires time to gather his strength following his early death.

What some people will not understand is that he is likely to be in contact with all of his family, his father included. The spiritual realm are built on the spiritual planes and not around the human animalistic conscious action, his father will above all else will need to forgive himself for his actions before others begin to forgive him, my understanding is that could be quicker in the spiritual world than we ourselves would imaging, either way, I wish Adam his family peace from this world and healing, health and light in the other. May your chosen God Bless you and welcome your arrival.

Truth and light be with us.

Yes, I did know him and two of his sisters. However, even if I hadn't known him personally, it wouldn't stop me offering my condolences. Some people like to show how much they care about their fellow human beings especially for the GOOD ones.

Doug 11-12-2006 22:28

Re: Tragic House Fire In Accrington

Forgive me if this sounds condescending, it’s not my intention. I think we have to accept and understand that those that knew the family and those that didn’t will express their sympathy and personal feeling of grief differently, for some people, questioning or failing to understanding another’s person’s expression grief can be simply a matter of needing to share the common sense of loss we feel as individuals.

Silvermain if you find this matter difficult perhaps you should find someone to talk to, share your feelings if it helps you come to terms with this tragic episode.

You are guessing wrong. Quite a lot of people on here knew him and/or one or more members of the family. My children were deeply saddenned when they heard the news at school today. Your heartless attitude is perhaps only excusable if you did not know any of them. Even then I find it hard to believe that you cannot feel some empathy or sympathy for the people who have been personally touched by these tragic events.

"Sorry" does not always mean an apology. Sometimes it means "I feel sorry for you in your sadness."

R.I.P Adam.........when I heard the news the first thing that came into my head was " he gave up" then the next was " If there is a life after death he will be with his mother and sister" and by Christ I hope there is for this families sake :(

What a sad sad time :(

No silvermain i didnt know adam and i didnt know his family either. But to me to lose your family in such a tragic way it makes me feel sorry for the people who are left behind.

And yes i do know what its like to lose someone and its horrible and especially round this time of year.

silvermain I didnt know this family at all , but that still dosent stop me feeling the sadness that this tragedy the whole family has had to experience .

Its A case of try and put yourself in that position and god prey that you dont have to , but just for a second in your life just try to imagine the boot being on the other foot , Its A tragedy in whole context no matter wether we knew them or what , innocent people lost thier lives no matter what the circumstances and knowing them isnt an issue

Thanks AccyAlec .. that was lovely. Didn't really wish to post on this tread, but knew Adam very well for about a year .. he was always respectful to me, was a good brother to his younger sisters, particularly little Hannah, the youngest, and brought her to my house on many occasions. Like you say a peaceful boy, but extremely polite and always ate the meals I made for him ..must have been a hardship that one.. :D .

Can I just say that this was one of my dearest friends and I miss him very much. It broke my heart to have to see him buried just a few weeks after his mum and sisters and I still havent gotten over it.

I feel guilty over it because once he got ill I was afraid to see him because I didnt want to see my friend ill, I only saw him 2 or 3 times before his family died. I felt so bad for doing that and still cry about it. I havent been upto the cemetary since but plan to get the courage to go up soon as I can.

I'm glad so many showed support for his family when it happened, Riaz was always so brave and he even lied to me when he was dying so that nobody had to think of every day as his last days and it was always thought as a happy day as he was getting better.

He was braver than any man I know and I dearly loved him. Just thought I should say that and share my two cents seen as I wasnt a member back when this happened.

Lol riaz was called that because of me, I used to say he was as good as having a dad and someone asked if he could be their 'dad' too and I said no, so he was their 'uncle'. That made me smile :)
