2 - middle america - i went for a fly drive holiday a few yrs back and drove around the mid-states in some obscure towns - teh folk were awesome! much better than the ppl we met in NY 3 - the state of canada |

I have one thing that folks from the UK should like about America - the pound to dollar exchange rate just now. Sure helps make visiting the USA a better value!

Bullseyebarb , sorry but I find it a bit disingenous to use comments from a conservative/right wing group to justify your arguments, the same folks who are responsible for the current mess we now find ourselves in.

Let us not forget that it was President Clinton's policy that there should be regime change in Iraq. Every major intelligence agency in the world thought Saddam had WMD. Both Democrats and Republicans were in agreement. If you read speeches and comments made by Democrats prior to 9/11 and for some time thereafter, they are exactly the same as those being said by Republicans and President Bush. Convenient to forget these things, I guess, when the road gets a little rocky. |
