A short while after I joined Accy Web, about eighteen months ago, someone accused this forum of racism. As someone who on long sleepless night had read nearly every thread ever posted here, I vehemently defended this forum against that charge. Sadly I couldn't defend it today, as racist posts are quite often seen on here.

Throw in nasty personal attacks on other memebers, combined with threads that quickly turn into chats, that would be better conducted on MSN messenger, we have the sorry state of affairs that we have today.

Gone are the days of lively debate, mixed in with genuienly funny threads, that all combined to make this forum a world wide and local extended family.

I don't know what the answer is. I still come here, but mainly now post in other forums, were the policing by the moderators, but more importantly the other members, doesn't let prejudice, trolling, and hatred get in the way of fun or lively debate.

I hope it evolves out of the doldrums it currently is in, and that some of the interesting people who have left come back, as well as the forum being a place that is self policed against anyone who is a bully, racist, or just plain nasty, once more.

I've noticed that as well too especially tonight - just as accyweb was getting back to what is good accyweb is a dull place without its regular posters & fun factor to boot - thats what makes me post is to have a laugh, discuss & escape the dolldrums of the day - the world is pathetic & miserable enough! :Banane57:
