Wrapped up in the fluffiest fur, Madonna could not have looked cosier. But her choice of coat sent a chill through animal rights groups. The coat, by the Fendi design house, cost around £35,000 - and the lives of 60 chinchillas.....

Thats from the daily mail last week.

aww chinchillas are cute and i would never wear a coat made from them

however

cats have some nice colours and patterns and i wouldnt give a hoot if a million were slaughtered to make somone a coat

my point is that if somone was wearing a coat made from slugs people wouldnt be as upset as seeing a coat made from somthing cute and cuddly

unless of course you like slugs :)

take a look and see how animals are slaughtered and see if you still fancy a burger afterwards ;-)

I would like to think that animals are slaughtered humanely in this modern society. I have nothing against eating or wearing anything which has been slaughtered humanely. In fact if you're going to kill a thing use as much of it as possible. The skinnng alive type stuff that goes on though there is no excuse for at all.

I bet she doesn't get a Christmas card of her mate Stella McCartney, the animal rights supporter and designer, this year.;)

I'm surprised the other McCartney/Mills hasn't jumped on a bandwagon to condemn her, just for the positive publicity. It can't be 12 month ago since she did that documentary with Paul regarding fur trade.

These people are all full of s***. It's about them and what they can get out of it. If there not in the lime light they don't exist, so any publicity is good publicity........
