Thanks for the well wishes. No, its nothing too serious, the ENT specialist is trying to save my hearing.

Im on PAYG too with O2.

This will be the second time ive had this op, the last one failed. The anaesetic is quite heavy as they will be going in behind my ear. Looks like ill have half a shaved head again and stitches back of my lug hole again.

Mobile phones are a curse, I tell you, a curse. Why is it that Mrs H rings me just as I'm sat at the bar, about to lift the fifth pint of foaming ale to my lips, or alternatively, as I'm stood in a record shop, ready to part with a wad of cash for some rare 1950's record, and says "What are you doing now?" in a highly suspicious tone of voice, almost as if she can SEE down the bloody thing!

Mobile phones are worse than wearing one of those tags yobs have to wear if they are let out of prison early.

Bin 'em.

Just had a week in the new Cardiac Arrest unit there gran, it's a fine hospital but as you say well the beaten track if you have a transport problem, hard work for Accrington visitors, my wife went by train and taxi. The Surgeons and all the staff were marvelous and gave the finest care possible, and my mobile phone was a godsend.

I wouldn't want to be without my cell phone - although I don't use it a great deal. Never touch the thing when I'm driving, in a store or restaurant. When I am traveling, it's nice to be able to exchange text messages with my kin in England.

Hope you are doing well, Ian. Likewise your better half, granny. My cousin, (also an Ian), had a valve replacement at Blackpool a couple of years ago. Gave the hospital a good review.
