Has anyone seen this ??
Its where a group of teenage couples move into the families home and take over the role of carers.
I cant make my mind up as to wether its a brave thing on the parents side or a good thing for the teenagers ..

Its on tv ..bbc3 now

what do you think?

The parent's knew their babies were involved?

I assumed they'd nicked them from outside of supermarkets.:D

yeah what it is ,is a group of teenage couples start firstly by each borrowing a baby for a 3 day period (which has just ended tomight) with very facinating results may i add..

then if they are still together haha ..the next task is a toddler for 3 days ,and then an elderly person ..

A qualified person is on hand 24/7 but must only intervene if they feel there is danger to the child/pensioner ,parents have been watching from another house close by on monitors and can also come in to give advice etc..at any time..
one couple had their child removed and two other couples are on the brink of seperating , but all have said what an eye opener its been to have a baby around and didnt realise just how hard it was going to be.....reality eh!!!

Well IMO if they thought it was hard with a baby god!!wait till they get the toddler in the next prog ..

But its a good prog and shows just how teenagers all so easy think it is to have such a responsibilty until it actually happens .. but it did make me think if i could ever hand my baby/toddler over to an unmarried inexperienced couple even for 3 days ...and i dont know ..
I suppose under those circumstances and depending on the temprement of the child maybe /maybe not:confused: :)

i watched a bit of it and thought it was a bloody good experiment
might make these young uns a bit more responsible when it comes to getting pregnant
but i must admit some of them did very well

I haven't watched the programme but saw it advertised, I know I could never let them look after my baby, even though they are supervised, I just couldn't do it.

I have been watching the programme and i have different views for different couples, the posh punk kids OMG he is great but she has alot to learn he did everything with the baby and around the house he even got up in the night he asked her to look after the child for a bit and she went off her head saying that she had made his dinner and his tea and that she was knackered HA what a laff get a grip girl!! he was gutted last night cos the babies went and all he wanted was for her to say well done you did a really good job and all she could do was sulk because he spent more time with the baby than with her!

I have to say i am enjoying watching.

I didn't watch this but i have seen similar in the past,i could not hand jack over to teenagers now let alone when he was younger.Even when im with people that are playing games with jack i find i have to stop myself from commenting on things they do.My great aunties especially-the first thing one of them says to him every time we visit is 'NO' (and then keeps saying it the whole time) when he does something his not meant to-never praise when his good or does somthing nice, or even 'hello'!I have to walk out because it gets on my nerves,so as for a stranger looking after him-no way.

Think we all missed the manual, funny how everything else no matter how easy comes with one:rolleyes:

Im finding it easier to look after Jack now than i did when he was smaller-for most people its the other way round.
Ask me if i still feel this way when jack starts potty training!

Haha one of the toddlers is called Yanik!!!

If i had kids i wouldnt risk it leaving my baby with a couple of teenagers who dont have a clue on how to look after him/her. By the way i havent seen it dont get bbc3 its what i've read in the papers about it.
