Right so how teh heck am I getting home tonight!

M6 N shut over thelwall
M60 clockwise shut over barton bridge
M60 anticlockwise , 2 lanes shut at bredbury (plus all teh M6 N traffic is being directed that way)

looks like a journey through central Manchester awaits me..........

Busman is off to Manchester tonight with a coach trip - the organisers must be mad!

If it takes you that long Ian maybe you'll meet each other halfway! :D

Re: Traffic nightmare

heh, I really don't know what happened there. I must have been a very good boy.

Through an extensive knowledge of country roads, a lot of forward planning and some extremely good luck it took me 1 hour 30 mins!!!

it was a very tortuous route I took but I seemed to be able to avoid the really bad bits. I think getting out an hour early made a massive difference though. I hate to think what time I'd got home if it had full on rush hour.
