9/11 Cover up???
 

Anyone else watch it last night on BBC2? Very interesting views and other opionions put forward with most of them making more sence than bush ever did. What do YOU think happened that day?

:D here we go again...hang on don't tell me I'll quess!.. al qaeda is run by the C.I.A..Bush organized the whole thing (he can't even organize dressing himself)..it was all done so that the USA could invade Iraq...blah blah! :D

I believe we will never get the real truth of this terrible act of violence/terrorism. The more they dig the more that dosnt make sense but then most things of this nature dont.

The real truth?... terrorists carried out a well planned attack on the USA..the intelligent services were useless and made blaring mistakes, if they had been "intelligent" they may have prevented the attack but did not...there are loads of theories about who carried out the attack..there's even a docu film suggesting the plane that hit the pentagon never happend and all the passengers are being held captive to keep them quite!

I wont watch any programmes like that. It was bad enough watching it on tv the first time round so why watch it again. And yes i do remember what and where i was when it was happening.

Just reminded me i havent seen WTC film yet so that may be my afternoon viewing whilst recouperating :D

Yeh i remember where i was & doing at the time too, watching sky news in horror live!

I wasnt watching it at first. My cousin and his wife had come over from Ireland and were visiting and we'd turned the radio off so didnt know what was happening. I went to pick my niece up from school and one of the grandma's was talking about it and i asked what was going on when she told me i couldnt believe it and when i got back home i came straight in and turned the tv on. We sat there and watched it and couldnt believe it. My niece went and played on the comp in the other room.

LOl i dunno how i catch these things live, same with the july london bombings, i just happened to watch the news early & they just got a report of an electrical problem in the underground - then that was just the start of it watching that unfold.

Waking The Dead took precedence so I didn’t watch that programme.

Like many people I watched on TV as the second plane smashed into the towers and also saw that footage of the first one going in. Similarly we saw the plane plough into the Pentagon, except that we didn’t see a plane even a fleeting glimpse of one. Why not? How come no one reported seeing a very low flying plane heading for the Pentagon after it happened?

There was no plane debris around the Pentagon so what does that say? The twin towers did collapse in a strange way and Fred Dibner would have been proud if he brought the towers down so cleanly. What does that say?

Can we deny that some people on the planes phoned their loved ones at home just before oblivion? Were they lying?

I doubt if we shall ever know the full and precise details of what happened at 9/11, as the Americans are past masters in keeping secrets secret and spreading or allowing to be spread rumours when it suits them. The stealth bomber was kept a secret for TEN YEARS. If they can do that then they can do anything.

Same here mel - do you really want to know something strange - my cousin was here again - and it was my birthday 4 days later and he said he'd take me out for my tea!!!

I watched the programme, and thought it was very balanced.

Most of the conspiracies were explained, and actual witnesses were interviewed, including the commercial pilot of the plane who they say must have shot down one of the planes, ansd relatives of Jewish victims, which dispelled the theory that it was all carried out by MOSAD, and that Jews were warned not to go to work that day.

If I was the relative of one of those killed this would upset me.

People can't seem to grasp that a handful of terrorists could inflict so much damage. They did, get over it.

The people at the forefront of the conspiracists seem as zealous as hicksville preachers, and to me just seem to want to make a name for themselves on the back of this tragedy.

When people don't understand why something has happened they always look for explanations elsewhere, be it in religion or conspiracy theories.

Sad, but human I suppose.

There was, and the programme showed identifiable wreckage of an American Airline's plane, as well as interviewing people who saw the wreckage.

I suppose conspiracy theorists will just say it was planted, and the so called members of the public are government plants.:D

Like I said earlier, all quite sad.

I never saw that debris footage garinda but then I haven’t followed the events post 9/11 other than what I came across casually.

On balance I prefer to believe what I saw live on TV. As for the rest, I keep an open mind.
