Well I do miss the edit buitton. Spelling and punctuation mistakes only magically appear after the time limit is up.

As for engaging one's brain before opening one's mouth, I stand behind every single one of the 9,469 posts I've ever made on this forum.:)

Well as I'm one of the main culprits I'm going to take that personally! You don't like our banter and I don't like your tediously boring 1000 word (so called "intellectual conversation" :rofl38: ) essay posts, so I don't read them, simple! You don't like our banter don't read it. There is an ignore button you know ;)

If we go over the top with chit-chat posts we soon get pulled back in to line by the moderators, as that's their job.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I only come on accyweb for entertainment purposes, you don't like that, tough!

I can only put forward my own point of view and acknowledge other viewpoints. What’s so wrong with that? Sorry I forgot having voiced an opinion and given my reasons for doing so I am not allowed to fight my corner, so to speak, and have to cow tow to the opposing view.

Followed by a bit of self congratulation and back slapping from the two previous posters.

I too only come on here for entertainment purposes and if people dont want to read our posts then they dont have to..
I try and stay away from threads that dont interest me as ive said once before...

U dont have any respect for others opinions i dont for yours either now on - in fact im having my pounds worth!! You voice yours at any expense that u make people either intimidated of their own opinions or to push peoples buttons to the max on here as long as u keep your argumentative threshold of the thread thats all the matters!! So yes im saying my piece because over the past couple of days your utter disregard for anyone but yourself is so apparent even in subjects you do not know a lot about, which in itself is not 'intellegent conversation' just dominated ones by you !!

I shall in future take usage of the ignore button as u can do with me if u so choose. Opologies everyone i've just blown!

I don't really see the problem. There is something for everyone on here, if you don't have an interest in something, you don't need to read it. I don't.

Instead of complaining about a lack of 'intellectual' threads on here, why don't those same people actually start some, instead of moaning about their absence?

I miss my writing my journal..........and so much has happened while i haven't been able to write it. I also miss the Arcade, though to be honest I was absolute 'bobbins' at most of the games....and I miss the photo comps too.
I couldn't hack the chatroom......I fell in there once by accident.......and I couldn't keep track of what was going on.

Margaret the chatroom was easy to use all you had to do was type something argumentative sit back and relax and we'd carry it on!!! Many a night i had in there that rindy and tinks and slinks and some people i wont name had a right ding dong in there!!!! :D

I think that is a very sensible suggestion. I don't get het up about threads that I'm not interested in.......I just don't read them.

Also, 'intellectual' is a very subjective word.......what one person sees as 'intellectual' will be seen as dross to someone else. I also think those people who want 'intellectual' can look elsewhere for their fix. In some way they are implying that they are better than most of us who frequent this site(for entertainment, information and pleasure).

Shillelagh.......you stirrer you :). No....... it just wasn't my scene. by the time I had sussed out what was going on and typed a reply the conversation had moved on.

Some posts ( no names mentioned) bored the tats off me....LONG and drawn out. Sometimes I think people read words in dictionaries and just try to fit them in long posts to make themselves feel and look better.:D
