Salzburg - any comments?
 

Thinking of having a short city break in a few months time and Salzburg is really cheap to get to - cheap flights.

So, anyone want to give me any gen on it.

PS - I already know all the Mozart and Sound of Music stuff related to it but that's not necessarily selling points.

Truly beautiful city, and easy to walk around the city centre.

Quite expensive when you are there, but on the positive side, unlike lots of other beautiful European cities, which people go to for a city weekend break, you won't find loads of British stag and hen parties weeing in the fountains!

I once went out with someone from Salzburg, and they are very nice people, and like us Brits.

If you decide to go I'm sure you'll love it.:)

Great place to buy just one hot chocolate, and sit and people watch at a street cafe.
