Church St Chippy

As i`m a vegetarian i`m always a bit suspicious of my local fast food emporiums so don`t use them often i just go to the chippy instead, don`t really have a favorite but the other night me and the missus decided to pop into church st chippy as we passed by ,anyway we got chatting to the owners (after i asked if the curry contained meat) and was surprised to be told that not only is it 100% veggie but even their gravy is vegetarian !!! and all their products are fried in Frymax which s a `Healthier` alternative to the usual chippy oils. So hats off to them , just thought if any veggies out there want a chippy tea CHURCH ST chippy is the place to go. :D

Great chippy, and really nice people.

I'll be there in half an hour, tucking in to fish 'n' chips.

Love the little lady who clears the tables, she's the Mum of the lady that owns it, and we took her a custard tart and a jellied pie on Tuesday because she is such a sweetie.

The only thing wrong with Church Street Chippy it is not open in the evenings, say 6 till 8 when this vagabond returns from the Club, but yes surely must be the best in town, fish and chips as they should be yum yum.

It's been modernised now, but it's not that long ago that they had a range in the cafe in the back, and they brewed your tea on that.

I have always used Church Street Chippy, and remember going here as a little girl and sitting in the little cafe at the back. Was always a treat and something I really looked forward to.

We go on a regular basis. By far best chippy for miles. Has it ever been a bad one? I used to go there for my dinners when I worked for the Co-Op in Accrington and that was more than a few months ago :D
