Apology to Chav

I hope the moderators will let this stand and I hope that, despite having asked to be banned Chav, will still read this.

I would like to apologise for calling you an idiot yesterday. I should not have done that. I should not have reacted angrily.

I have seen a whole family go to hell and back when the husband and father had a break-down. I also saw people treat him with disdain and tell him to pull himself together, something which he was totally incapable of understanding how to do. Pills didn't cheer him up. They just turned him into an automaton and then left him addicted. Memories came flooding back of what they all went through at the time with his wife sobbing her heart out to us because he was no longer the person she knew and she was getting to the point of not being able to cope with it all herself.

Memories of people, who just didn't understand, telling her to cheer him up and telling him to pull himself together made me want people to realise that although depression cannot be seen by an outsider, and the sufferer may even seem to put on a convincing front to those who do not know them the illness itself is very real and very debilitating. What seemed to be a general dismissive statement of such suffering caused me to react angrily to flippant comments about depression. I should not have allowed myself to do that and I apologise for what I said in response.

However angry I was at your posts, I had no right whatsoever to call you an idiot and for that I apologise sincerely.

I too would like to appologise. I've obviously upset Chav, through posting something he didn't think should be public knowledge.

I too reacted angrily, partly because the subject of depression/suicide is a very sensitive subject to me personally.

Not having another dig but...if you are going to have strong views, and are prepared to post them on a public forum, you must then also be prepared for other people to react, and answer back.

Anyway, sorry for any offence caused.

Which I don't get, whats the point in asking to be banned? If he doesn't want to come on AW then he just has to stay away, no one forces him to come on here.

Perhaps he was upset? He may have been more worried about what he would say, if he just left he could come back but if he felt that he would say something he would regret, perhaps he felt it better to ask for a ban.

Chav1 Please don't leave, believe me it's cold out there, we at least admit we don't understand you, but we still answer you.

entwisi you used to be more sensitive than I am, what's happened?:)

It's an addiction, it's very hard to stay away, particularly when there are threads that you're involved in so getting yourself banned is possibly the healthy option.
