Re: FIRE!! ... Where?

Its bad enough that shops in Accy close without someone destroying one of the sucessful ones being destroyed. All that damage even with insurance could force it to close. The damage cost of a 100k would be enough to shut it permenently.

The music shop has been there for as long as i can remember with passing it to get home from town when young be sad to see it go completely.

Yeah we've been in a few times, needed a recorder for one of the kids and another time we needed reeds for a clarinet that she was learning. I wouldn't know where else to look for specialist music items.

Re: FIRE!! ... Where?

LOL i got my proper recorder from there, & eldest for reeds, in fact got a spare new reed which i got from there, i think you'd have to go to Burnley & Blackburn probably for instrument needs which would be a real shame for Accrington.

Just goes to show it was an asset to the town. Its all the regular customers I feel sorry for and as you say mel its to Burnley or Blackburn now. I take it the Accordian that was in the window copped it as well, which is a pity as I liked it. :(

great shame to lose one of the very few sucessful individual shops in town, no doubt the arsonist (if caught) will get community service or something worthless.:(

With the courts today it would be a £50 fine and a £100 costs if unlucky. They will spout all the usual crud about him/her being a "lost" person.
