I love messing about in gardens. Though I guess I'm a bit weird, as I used to save up my pocket money as a child to send off for rare seeds and plants.

I think it's nice Mel's taking an interest in her lady garden.:D

I killed off a lawn full & a half of dandelions apart from the edges - wonder how long they will grow back

The best way to kill off dandelions is to cut the main stem just below ground level and if it manages to grow again, cut it again. It shouldn’t come back a third time.

On the other hand why kill off a flower? Let it flower - it adds colour to a garden and the insects enjoy flowers.

....and all the things that fly off it will land on ya garden and produce more dandelions, so really theres no way of avoiding em....and erm picking em will make you wee the bed!!:D
