Did a lot of grizzley bear wrassling, moose chasing, baby seal bashing, fishing for muskies, clearing land to plant corn and squash. Typical wilderness pursuits. I do seem to remember that in a world without computers and cell phones we did damn well.

So didnt go hungry and dont now as the cell phone is handy to phone a takeaway to arrive as you return from the pub.

Indeed the cell phone is a wonderful thing ... an even better cooking implement than the microwave ... much better to have hot delivered pizza than to nuke the frozen stuff. Trouble is you can get more topping onto the keyboard than you can get into your gut.:rolleyes:

Stay away from the keyboard unless bragging what a great pizza yuou are having to make others jealous. They might be havin chips and curry sauce and that would be bad for a keyboard.

Used to have arguments with friends about how life aught to be, now have arguments with friends on accyweb about how life aught to be. :D

According to records I had a life and an active one. Now its a different kind og goggle box syndrome I have. No wonder my pool and snooker is going down hil. :(

I vaguely remeber us getting our first computer. Can't clearly remember a time without the internet.

The internet is WONDERFUL -I am a silver surfer and my life would be hard without it.
I shop for everything online so save getting exhausted by shopping trips
I research natural remedies for failing health and get results!
I find old friends that I lost touch with long ago
On days that I am not well enough to go out I can chat /video call with friends on the web
When I got my 1st pc I started writing a book (dont we all?) but now am too busy browsing for knowledge that would never have been available to me before.
I didnt get a pc until I retired - every 'oldie' NEEDS one
