I was talking to someone a few months ago about those trees and apparently they were free so that's why they were planted.

The masterplan for the paths, habitats and signs is starting this month and should be completed for the Autumn. There is £1m of funding going into the area covering Plantation Street to the Griffin by REMADE (LCC & GOVT OFF NW)

Are you not supposed to get a visit from Mrs Knight riding naked on a steaming old nag with blazing red eyes for using THAT word.

I like the trees very much, however, feel as you do Magpie, last time I did the Coppice, parked up over the King's Highway ... over the tops, then down and up again from the bowling green, felt very nervous on my own walking back up and thought could be so easy to get attacked without anyone noticing.

Would be a different kettle of fish though if I had had some nice gentleman to hold my hand up that path, as lovely cover if you wished a diversion now and then .. :D;)
