Garden thieves strike again!

   I am spitting feathers here! Just been out the front and I notice that my lovely hydrangea has now been nicked! It was in a big heavy pot so it can't have been kids. I wonder if it's the same thief who stole the acer? I hope they get wood rot (and I don't mean the plants!)

Am now giving serious consideration to having the whole blessed thing concreted over and painted green!

Why green? There are so many colours to choose from. :)

you could concrete ur pots into the floor then aswell so they'd have to pull the plants out by the roots to get at them and they probably wouldnt do it because they'd have to buy their own pots.

The cynic in me says what good would that do? I'd probably get done for filming people without their permission.

You're allowed to CCTv your own property as long as its for good reasons like harrassment & theft etc.

Re: Garden thieves strike again!

May not be much chance of catching them but the police now have a description (of the pot)

They seem to think that thieves are targeting an area so if you're anywhere near the upper Willows Lane region keep your hand on your hollyhocks as Brucie used to say. It's not just pots either. They are not averse to digging things up.

If anyone hears any goings on in their own garden the police would appreciate a registration number of any vehicle which may be being used to transport the ill gotten garden greenery.
