Having said that, I do find that what blazey reports as the ex-skateboard area, (now the young druggies area), which used to be the never worked and was a useless fountain area is yet again not fit for the purpose it was half designed not to be. :mad:

Well we've still got the ex-fountain memorial garden complete with cog and now an additional 3 of the ubiquitous black plastic planters. The non-skateboard park is adjacent.

It's not A chippery Less, It's THE Chippery. It's the name of a fish and chip shop/cafe.


Where's Ethel Austins though? I can't bring that to mind.

across the road from mercers next to the camera shop. Its near to where those original moving pictures where found by those blackburn photographers (forgotten their names).

The skatepark was always rubbish and never safe to sit in on a summer night when it started getting dark.
