Local Bus Company Joke
 

As Mel isn't on here at the moment I thought I would share this with you all.

Mel rang M&M coaches this morning to find out what time the buses were to Blackburn Hospital. Reply was we can't tell you the timetables, you will have to go Accrington Library. I think the red mist descended before she got chance to ask what time the buses were to Accrington Library.

How the hell do companies like this stay in business ????

If it's not too late & she hasn't already traipsed down to the library Dave, the hospital bus times are 1.15 & 2.25 from outside the chemsits on Peel Street- only know cos I had to go up there last week. I think coming back they are 3 o'clock & 4.15

complete joke, and people are supposed to be encouraged to use public transport instead of the car! that'll drag em in.:D

Hi Dave.
All timetables by companies who run the service must be submitted for approval by the local transport authority, in this case I think L.C.C.
I would ring back and ask for the Transport Manager or owner and tell him/her of your experience, if satisfaction is still not forthcoming I would complain to L.C.C.

A quick check of the LCC website does indeed give all bus timetables;

Transport for Lancashire

I even found the one for M&M which they don't appear to have, should I send one on to them do you think ? :D

The m&m bus service is the only one that goes to the hospital isn't it?

You have to go to the library for most enquiries about bus routes now which can be inconvenient, but I dont think we should complain as its cheaper than a taxi and its the only one of its kind and it goes along a really good route so then loads of people have access to it.

Its very rarely late and its good quality service from nice drivers, you couldnt say that much for lancashire united.

No Willow, they moved the transport info to the library a while ago. I agree with Blazey about the good service by the drivers who do the run at the moment but also agree with you Willow that it should be made into a more regular service

As AccyMad said, the timetables are only available at the library now. Though why they counldn't be available at both places is beyond me.

The timetables, and the help given, was also much better when it was at the Town Hall.
