Re: Did I???

I'm always forgetting things at the mo, I blame it on being too busy, usually now when I lock the door I say out loud I'm locking the door that way I remeber I've done it.

I'm finding myself increasingly wondering if I've forgotten something and before anyone suggests it's my age, remember I know most of you and I am ONLY 36!!!

The number of times one of my sons has told me something and I can't even remember the conversation (ok they could be pulling a fast one I know)

When making appointments I have to set a reminder on my phone so I don't forget it!!

I really don't think it is a sign of going senile more a case of life being so hectic that sometimes I'm sure I'm meeting myself coming backwards!!

anyone else suffering from the same fate?? :o

Wait till you pass 60. This forgetting things really kicks in.

As for the other side of 70 …. Don’t ask.

I am aware that I have forgotten something but for the life in me can’t think what it was even if it happened a second or two ago.

To make sure that I do not forget to take the various pills that I have to take or take two lots in one day, I mark the individual pills in the blister packs with the days of the week.

Appointments get noted on a calendar that I cannot help but see.

Thats the need for a good boozing session that has done that. ;)

It's easy to cure...just stop fretting.

That came to my mind too ... what's left of it ... seems that it's epidemic in Accy and dist. Maybe it is the last remnants of parents/grndpts telling you of the dire punishments in Hell for those who forgot to lock doors, turn off taps etc. Hell is nothing tho' when compared to gran swinging a razor strop in the direction of the backs of your legs and your ass.

The advice "stop fretting" is right on ... oh, and buy insurance, lots of it.

I have a huge chalkboard right facing me as I leave the kitchen to go to the dining room. I write important messages to myself on that.

Do I ever read them?

:D What do you think?

Gingko Biloba is a wonderful herb for improving mental agility, (but you can take it if you are on blood thinning drugs)
When I started taking it several years ago I found that it improved my mental faculty so much that I could do the Guardian cryptic crossword in 30 minutes (sometimes) :D

I prefer the drugs that slow things down ... the one's that you indulge in before watching re-runs of CSI, so that it seems like you are watching them for the first time. Also lets you forget things without giving a s**t:smokin:

I am with you Willow wanting to know were to get it as I could do with some myself. :D

Dont think the locals in Leyland would be happy if we started pruning their tree for our own personal use.

Most herbalists sell it in tablet/capsule form. I get mine from Healthspan in Guernsey (vat free). If you google you can find out more about it.
The tree is originally chinese - I think there are some in UK, but few and far between. It also helps poor circulation and Reynauds Syndrome because it thins the blood slightly, but not dangerously.

Hmmm Red, think all that pub crawling you've been doing might have greatly diminished some of those valuable brain cells?:p You do remember your pub crawl don't ya?

Thankfully we never lock our doors out here. This is a good thing because I don't remember where I hid the key. However, I'm am very sure it is a great hiding place!:D

Brian
