My friends parents own hope and anchor, i think i've been in once or twice to use the practice room upstairs with him. Seems like an alright pub to me. What pub doesn't have the odd bit of trouble?

commercial in my eyes classes as a hotel rather than a pub, so even if it was open and trouble free I wouldn't class it as a pub.

Speaking of which though, I always think its a shame that somebody doesn't buy it and re-open the place.

Public House when I was a lad, one of the busiest in Church.
Split the difference, Pub downstairs, Hotel upstairs.
I agree it should be renovated but I don't think anyone would take the risk.

im sure it could become a viable
hotel once again
its within easy reach of the motorway
and the area around is a lot better now
than it was in bygone years

Sorry no.......that area of Church is a dump and has been for many years.
I cant see any investors putting money in a venture like that.
