The sooner the licence fee is scrapped, the better.

No more using our money to spend on public art/corporate entertaining/taxis to the hairdressers for Kirsty Wark...and no more bloody money for Jonathon Ross and Graham Norton!

I agree that more care should be taken on spending our fees but am glad of the BBC -if only for the fact that I dont get a sore thumb from pressing the mute button during ads (most of which are horrendous and overloud)

Why not, " it is not the 'done' thing old boy, why soil our hands with 'blood' money when the 'peasants' are stupid enough to pay":(.

We get ads now on the BBC, for their own programmes.

On average five minutes per hour of broadcasting.

Shame they really have u by the goolies cos without a tv licence u cant own a tv [technically] by law, so u cant even bypass the darn BBC - like they own tv's or something !! Personally i think they are rubbish in standard than ITV/CH4 etc for programmes & innovation in ideas & drama's, only time i watch the beeb is for occasional footy [if on] & eastenders.

Thats when i stop paying for a tv licence. Because i wont be receiving it. I dont get channel 5 because of where i live. I refuse to pay for sky just for the sake of getting bbc1 etc. Freeview boxes dont work here because we are out of line of the signal.

I record most programs on Sky +Margaret, then you just fast forward during the ads, its surprising 1hr. programs only run 45mins on my telly.
