Re: Celebrate a Wedding....Kill a Dog!
After having a quick glance through the firework regulations of 2004,Quote:
"fireworks will be safer, less noisy and can only be let off at certain times." I thought that this act of 2004 was brought in to address the problems caused by the use of fireworks outside the boundaries of acceptable and permitted use? I too have had problems relating to the use of fireworks(for purposes other than Guy Fawkes night) by some of my neighbours (both asian and white) and have thankfully managed to persuade most using these fireworks to stop using them, after explaining that they were causing distress to my dog. With those who have been less co-operative, I have issued a polite but stern warning, that should they continue to use the fireworks,I would have no option other than to contact the authorities. Whilst the latter action may be deemed to be a little confrontational and hasn't won me many fans in the popularity stakes, Up to press I haven't had to contact the authorities as those concerned have heeded the warning. That being said, it's really up to you how far you are prepared to go. I personally am not intimidated by most, but I realise some do feel wary in such circumstances.:) |

What gets my goat is the 'regular' New Years Eve celebration when every piece of white/brown/black American trash thinks its ok to go out and shoot guns into the air , (bullets go up, bullets come down) from what I read in the news and on this site it won't be long before this comes your way ......  |
Re: Celebrate a Wedding....Kill a Dog!
Cheers steeljack for that foresight will have to make sure I got good quality kevlar helment on 24/7.
DOCUMENT AND REPORT ALL firework discharges to Police, Trading Standards, council and see if RSPCA want the info so that files can be built up and used if same person/shop crops up within any investigation. Think there is a weblink on police site to report some things and this could be one of them. |

Re: Celebrate a Wedding....Kill a Dog!
i didnt think you were allowed to light a fire during the day either because of the smoke, would the fireworks not be in the same class due to the smoke?

You can't even call them fireworks - not as we know fireworks with pretty colours and nice sparkles. They are just hideous loud bangs and should be BANNED.

Isn't it awfully racist to permit one race of people to do something which adversly affects others?
