Don't mess about find out what is bothering her and get onto the school if it is other kids hassling her. My grand-daughter started last year and she settled really well, having said that a lot of her friends went as well.

I thought Maddie might have been a bit unsettled this year because she'd had the same teacher for the last two years but she was fine. She's in Juniors now and the first day she came back buzzing with the fact that she'd be learning French from now on.

Zack's fine but I can't say that he's a big fan of school.

I know what the matter was and it's hopefully now sorted. The difficult bit about a school that size is if someone was bothering her she doesn't know their names and they all look alike !
It seems to be ok now; she has done some German and French lessons and seems to be settling in.

I hope that is the end of it . Yes everything will look so different to your daughter and as you say the fact that the other kids are not known to you must seem very daunting.
