Re: Poor Clio

She got through the night and they let Brian in to see her this morning. There is still a long way to go but things seem a little more hopeful today. As soon as she can go for twelve hours without vomiting they will start to feed her. Then it all depends on how badly her stomach lining has been affected.

Fingers crossed and thank you all xx

Re: Poor Clio

so sorry to hear about your dog...
I have 3 of my own and I would not want mine to get it as I know exactly what happens to the dog etc..I hope the vet was honest with you regarding this but can I ask why your dog wasnt vaccinated given its mainly un vaccinated dogs that catch it?

I dont want to be shot down in flames here - just curious to know..

Re: Poor Clio

She'd had all of her jabs which makes it all the more shocking. The vet did blood tests which proved that she had contracted the virus. She also said that she could have picked it up anywhere. Do bear in mind that the Spanish don't have the same principles as we do as far as animals are concerned and it's probably true that most of their dogs aren't vaccinated. Clio loves to play and has contact with quite a few dogs during her day.

It isn't going to help going down that road and I have another sleepless night to look forward to. I'm just hoping that I can cuddle her lovely silky body, sometime soon.

Thanks again for your kindness xxx

Some friends of mine had the same with their dog June. It had all the jabs then like Clio contracted parvo. The dog got better, so just stay positive and I'm sure all our prayers will be answered.

Re: Poor Clio

Brian just rang from the vets and the news is really good. Clio is so much better and should she keep improving we can have her back home tomorrow.

You wouldn't believe the relief!
