Is it not just another form of recycling?
Personally, I wouldn't care if the church (or for that matter the whole neighbourhood) was kept warm as a result of one of my loved ones cremation.

Yuk .. all very macabre to me.

Can imagine the vicar announcing .. "Today's heating during our service has been sponsored by Katex's late Aunt Nellie, let us give thanks" .... No, thank you.

think its a good idea, dead is dead end of. the heat at the moment is going to atmoshere, it may as well be re-cycled and put to good use, also better for the "carbon footprint" (not that i'm bothered much about that) :)

Sounds like a sensible idea to me. Why waste the heat if it can be reused.

I didn't see the story but if I've understood this properly are they talking about cremations? If so then surely heat is produced and wasted so if it can be channelled into heating then surely that's not a bad thing. Better to heat the crem than heat the atmosphere.

Have to completely agree with cashman, Neil and Willow...if it can be done, use it!

Seems like a good idea to me...I have no issues with it.
